Hi Lar, thank you for your message. So far, I understand you advise me to change my system language. I have done it before and even when factory resetting and setting the system language to Traditional Chinese from scratch, the keyboard's standard typing language is simplified Chinese and the issue remains. Also, Samsungs support couldn't solve the problem even with remote support service.

I use Gboard as alternative, but it is somewhat annoying to always switch between keyboards.. and Samsung Keyboard has some nice features I don't wanna miss, so I guess I'll just have to stick to my workaround here.. if there is any chance you could report this issue to the IT people who modify the Android system for this phone, that would be awesome.. they might be able to fix it in one of the future updates (if there are going to be any..)

Dear Brave Developers Team, Please develop a secure and privacy-focused Brave keyboard for Android. We are forced to use our default Google keyboard or Chinese keyboard (in case of Xiaomi). These inc. are accused of stealing our private data (e.g., password, email etc.).

Chinese is not written using individual letters like the English alphabet; rather, it uses pictographs composed of several strokes. Since listing thousands of characters on the keyboard is not functional, the most used way of typing in Chinese is Pinyin.

Pinyin Qwerty or Pinyin Keyboard is basically the same thing. It is essentially the phonetic translation of Chinese words using the Latin alphabet using a Qwerty keyboard. The computer then swaps out the words for the corresponding Chinese characters.

Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region > Preferred Language Tab > Add Language. Search for Traditional or Simplified Chinese > Select Language Options > Add a keyboard > Microsoft Pinyin.Read our blog for an in-depth step-by-step tutorial to type in Pinyin on your computer.

And I can't choose chinese keyboard via Settings > Language & input > Current keyboard (Xperia Keyboard) Choose keyboards. Menu has any language but chinese. Is there another ver of keyboard I have to download?

Hi S-ova,

Are you also using Android 5.0? You got me confused when you say that this menu has many languages. When you tap at "Choose keyboards" you should as standard have three options: Xperia Chinese keyboard, Xperia Keyboard and Xperia Japanese Keyboard. Are you sure that you are not at the menu "Writing languages"?

To answer your exact question, i use the same keyboard app for both Roman and non-Roman letters and see no problem with that. I switch language whenever i need to use different letters, just like i used to do it for my whole life, be it PC or phone.

SwiftKey is ideal for me since my native language and English both adopt the QWERTY layout, and I type in Chinese and Japanese for work and sometimes life stuff. I can have my native language and English both toggled on (with suggestions for both) for the QWERTY keyboard, and then I can press change language to get to my Chinese and Japanese keyboards which individually support changing roman letters into Chinese Hanzi and Japanese Kana.

I wish I had seen these sooner! They look great! Definitely adding these to Floris Board as I have always been slightly bothered by how the default dark theme looks. If they implement spellchecker/suggestions, that will check off every box on my keyboard wishlist.
