I'm trying to programmatically zoom in on what I'm seeing on the page, without changing which part of the content I'm seeing, regardless of where the scroll level is. I want this to be animated and pretty.

So I'm using $('body').animate({zoom:2.0}, 1000) to animate the zoom, but this has the irritating side effect of keeping the top of the visible window at the same point in the document (the browser's attempt to keep me where I was, actually, complete failure), so I need to basically continuously scroll to the same relative vertical center of the page as it's animating in order to get around that. How can that be done? I don't know how to do two things at once with animation--- I mean I could change multiple CSS properties at once, but how can I scroll?

Up until a couple months ago, if I changed my wallpaper/background image, I could choose between tile, zoom, centre, scale, fill or span. These options no longer appear in GUI for changing the background image.

I am using Ubuntu 17.10.

ZoomLevel is double, so a nice thing can be done is by adding a slider that its value is also bound to what represents the zoomlevel in the viewmodel . this way you can change the zoom using the slider.

Toggling 'link views' on and off as a means of copying zoom/scale without linking isn't the worst thing in the world but I am wondering if there's a different, quicker way. It would also be nice to have the option to 'send' extents, since that is the behavior of those zoom options in ArcMap. Does this exist? There's something similar in layouts (zoom to last active map), but not maps it seems?

I have this MS Ergo Natural Keyboard 4000 on windows 7, with the SetPoint Intellitype Software. I want to change the action of the center zoom to make it sroll. I'm some old versions of Firefox it worked that way, until I update it to FF 4 Beta 5.

Unfortunately, the Ergonomic keyboard config utility doesn't allow you to change the settings for the centre zoom button. In order to do so, you will have to edit the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Intellitype Pro\commands.xml file manually. (For computers running the more recent Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center the path is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Device Center\commands.xml)

N.B. the contents of this file change depending on which version you have so make sure you have the same version as me before you try. The version number can be found at the top of the Commands.xml file. My version is:- 8.0.225.0If this explanation gets too basic, it's because I don't know how much you know about Windows or config files.

Text description provided by the architects. The master plan for the regional center 'Huysmanhoeve' in Eeklo is based on the typical typology of the moat farm. This forms the fundament to develop Huysmanhoeve as an open, flexible, and multi-purpose gathering place. This project is about 4 buildings on the site. Two existing barns are renovated, and two new structures are added to this historical site.

The existing cowshed will house new multi-purpose classrooms. This stable was built in 1958 and defines, to a large extent, the spatial individuality of the current yard of the site. The stable symbolizes the important pioneering work and the exemplary function the farm had in the modernization of agriculture in the region during the post-war period. In the center of the building, the upper floor is cut away at the entrance gate. The new internal vertical circulation gets its place here. 2 external staircases are added at the ends of the building. These allow flexible use of the building. The existing structure forms the basis for the open layout of the plan. Four new glass walls will be installed between the different classrooms. These walls can be opened completely to allow the spaces to work as a whole when necessary.

If you like, it might be worth it contributing directly to napari: we could extend reset_view or create a similar method that takes layers as inputs and behaves as if only those layers existed, centering on a subset instead of the whole content of the viewer.
