i am trying to get a microsoft arc touch mouse to work on my HP EliteBook Folio 9470m i have re-installed the ntel PROSET Bluetooth driver service pack sp61660.exe driver as per your above suggestion but still cannot get the devise to pair/work. is there another driver i should install instead?
I have updated bios to latest, ran softpaq - downloaded driver from HP site. Drivers says it is installed properly. However it can not see the MS designer keyboard /mouse. Our other laptop 9480m works fine with windows 8.1 pro

I have an issue with getting Bluetooth to work under Windows 10. Due to a hard drive failure I Installed windows 10 from scratch and the module does not show up under the device manager and Windows troubleshooting routine tells me there is no Bluetooth module installed in the computer and I would need to connect an external one. I found another thread on the topic in this forum (but was unable to add my question there, not sure why). In this other Thread Paul_Tikkanen suggested booting from a Ubuntu USB stick. I tried this and indeed under Ubuntu the Bluetooth module shows up and I can connect it to my headphones without any issues. However when rebooting to Windows the device is still nowhere to find and Bluetooth does not work. Any ideas how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advcance!
Quick update: I downloaded a driver labelled "Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 Bluetooth Driver 19.11.1637 for Windows 10 64-bit" from Softpedia which seems to work fine. Bluetooth is working now. Intel seem to have stopped providing drivers for this chipset.
thanks for your response. The Wifi adapter is listed as Intel Centrino Advanced -N 6235. The laptop definitely has Bluetooth hardware, given I can connect Bluetooth devices to it without any issues when booting from a Linux USB stick instead of Windows.. Are you able to provide a link to the suitable driver for Windows 10? On the intel website I can't seem to find the right driver.
In the hardware manager under Windows the chip only shows up as a Wifi adapter and not as Bluetooth device. When I use the windows context menu to search for updated drivers I am told that the "Best drivers are already installed". Windows does not seem to understand that the chipset has bluetooth capability.
I currently have an HP EliteBook 9480m that has a Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 card. I am looking to upgrade the card as this wireless connection on this card always seems to drop and I have to reset it. This has been happening the last 6 months, but was okay before. I have tried to update the drivers but no updates available. I tried changing settings as advised online but problem still persists and have been advised to update my card as a lot of people seem to have the same issue as me with this card.
I have been told to be very careful on choosing a card because of the BIOS Whitelist. Can someone from HP please advise me which card to get so I don't have any issues with the upgrade. I know this laptop is old, but any help would be appreciated. Looking for a budget wireless card please that works well. I have a pair of Taotronics Soundliberty 79 earbuds. They've pair fine with my laptop running Win 10 and work for listening to music. I've also tested joining a Google Meets meeting and audio works fine in both directions.
However, when I join a MS Teams meeting after a minute or two I can no longer hear audio through my earbuds, but the microphone continues to work and others can hear me. I need to go to device settings in Teams and switch to PC speaker/mic then back to the earbuds to restore audio which only lasts a couple of minutes before dropping out again.

@derekjwhitten, I'm with you on this. I have the same exact problem with my Taotronics 79 earbuds. I'm lucky to get anywhere between 4-6 mins of audio time before it cuts out. I used to use an old school plantronics headset with zero issues, but the headset is the most uncomfortable for someone who wears glasses, thus the switch to earbuds.
@derekjwhitten Hey everyone! So I think I have a work around, its been working today since I've tried.
I have a pair of bose 700s but this should work for any wireless headphones.
Go to your sound settings and set the laptop speakers as default.
Anytime a sound comes through while you are in a teams call it'll then go through your computer speakers instead of your headphones, which I believe was the issues, cutting out audio from my call. while the teams audio stays in your headphones, make sure in teams though, you have your audio set as your headphones, since your headphones are no longer default it might go through your computer! Good luck!
Also deleted skype for business but I don't think that had anything to do with it.
I have the same issue except with TicPod earbuds. Teams works great through them for a few minutes, then sound and mic stops in teams but not system sounds and I need to switch teams to use my PC speaker and mic. After a few minutes, I can switch back to the TicPods and it works again for a short time. This seems to be the only application this happens in. 152ee80cbc
