This was the answer I was looking for. So I put my ps1 bios into a folder and then tried to move it into the correct directory through ssh. Still no success. I continue to get the no bios error. Here is the way I moved it.
what this does is BASICALLY relocate the folder into the games sub folder but linked to the original location to nothing gets broken. it is what I did on mine and it works fine. alternatively you can reconfigure the emulator to use a separate folder for JUST the PSX bios but i figured it would be a bit of extra clutter.

By default, the filename of the Memcard slot 1 savedata (if enabled) will be
pcsx-card2.mcd. This basically means that all games in the same folder share
the same nemory card in slot 1.
so i managed to load and run all my games on all ps1 cores available, but i when i load games using pcsx rearmed it jumps straight to the game without loading the bios screen at first, note that i did all the following
Actually emulated HLE bios works but i wonder if there is a way also to get a bios that allow PCXRearmed to use bigger screen resolution.Second problem, emulation is very slow for psx games on switch, like quake 2 or other are laggy. Do you experience same problem ? What option do you use ?
Thank you for your reply. I will try to look better in the core option where to force resolution cause i really cant find it. This is weird. I use HLE bios since i cant load official bios in retroarch switch version.
The last stable version was released 2015-09-25 and can be installed with the pcsxrAUR package. The pcsxr-gitAUR package allows the installation of the development version, the latest commit having taken place in 2017.
Notice, however, that if you have a 64 bit machine and you choose to grab one of the AUR versions, PCSXR will be compiled to 64 bit architecture, rendering it incompatible with the vast majority of the plugins, which are 32bit only. If you intend to use any plugins other than the ones that come with the emulator, you should install the 32 bit package lib32-pcsxrAUR.
Upon the first launch PCSXR will create a hidden directory named .pcsxr into your home directory, where all the configurations, plugins, savedata and the console bios will be stored. Deleting this directory will reset PCSXR's configuration to its original state.
The bios dump must be put into the ~/.pcsxr/bios/ directory. PCSXR can also emulate an internal bios, but it is not compatible with all games and presents issues. PCSXR provides an incomplete compatibility list on their site.
PCSXR already comes with a set of plugins that allows to play out-of-the-box, however, if you wish to install plugins for extra video/sound/joystick/configurability you will need to put the respective plugins and their configuration files at the ~/.pcsxr/plugins/ directory. Most of the Linux compatible plugins can be found at Pete's Domain.
This issue happens because the latest Linux version of Pete's plugins do not provide the configuration files with them. To solve the problem go to Pete's GPU Plugins page and find the Linux GPU Configs section, download the configuration files - they will come all together in a .tar.gz file. Fetch the missing ones from the Gzip file and put them on the ~/.pcsxr/plugins/ folder and the problem will be solved.
I also recommend not using that AHK posted. It is a hard close command and any emulator that saves data like save states on close it will not save correctly. This may not affect pcsx2 but I still recommend no longer using that code. Recommend something like below.
Before starting the PCSX2 BIOS download process, you should download the PCSX2 emulator first. Click here to download it, and then find and double-click pcsx2-1.4.0-setup.exe in the install folder. Then follow the on-screen instructions to finish the installation operation.
Are you sure, that there are no bios files missing? You can check under Game Settings, Missing Bios Files.
Also check, that your bios files have the correct file names (case-sensitive! so you maybe have to replace for SCPH1001.BIN with scph1001.bin)
Although some games can start without bios under PCSX-ReARMed, it is strongly advised to add these files in the bios directory in order to improve the performance of the emulator and the management of saves on "virtual" memory cards.
Based on your earlier hint I went and chosen a different path: installed AEL from a zip file and the desired emulators: snes9x2010 and pcsx-rearmed from standard LE/Kodi repos, then proceeded to define the launchers that called RetroPlayer (at least to my still shaky understanding that's AEL/RetroPlayer approach that none of your 3 alternatives cover).
Note about the bioses: copied over all the files I had on RetroPie, don't know if the same ones are expected here. Maybe it's looking for slightly different names, or different case...is there a way to check retroarch is finding the expected ones?
And in regards to the bios, as long as you have not changed any configurations within retroarch you have placed them in the right place but you can check where retroarch is looking for them by looking for directories within the retroarch program once in directories the top one should be system/bios and it should point to /storage/emulators/bios. e24fc04721
