Hello all. I just upgraded the Youversion bible app, and found out I can no longer access to the page where I can select or search the scripture. The read tab doesn't seem to be accessible with voiceover anymore. Has anybody had this issue? I am using the latest ios on iphone SE.

I suddenly discovered that I could no longer view or read my bible when I have no network.Even when I download it,and switch off my network, the offline version will not work. Also the downloaded version seems to reverse its self to an undownloded status. Its so frustrating

Hi there, I have both Logos and the YouVersion Holy Bible app on my iPhone... in the Youversion app, I can have the NKJV stored in "offline" mode which downloads it to the iPhone for very fast verse searching and reference. And this is free.

In your app, I have to pay 40 dollars for the same "offline" capability just to have fast reference for NKJV??? -- is there something I'm missing here? Why does this 1) have a cost compared to the other app to store NKJV offline 2) cost so much compared to a print version I can buy in the store?

Logos iOS application includes one Bible for offline use: American Standard Version (ASV). Logos does offer free online NKJV access at web site. Logos created iOS application to complement Logos 4 Bible Study software for Mac & PC =>

Personally am a Logos user with Many Volunteer Posts (MVP) who purchased a Logos Scholar's Platinum package plus more resources so have NKJV available offline on iPad plus UBS Old Testament Handbook Series and UBS New Testament Handbook Series (commentary set is included in Scholar's Gold and above). Do like split screen scrolling on iPad with Bible text and UBS translation insights (important concepts to communicate with cultural insights).

YouVersion (also known as Bible.com or the Bible App) is an online and mobile Bible platform published for Android, iOS, Windows Phone, and many other operating platforms. In 2023, according to YouVersion, its Bible App features over 3,000 Bible versions in over 2,000 languages,[1] audio Bibles, offline capabilities, as well as over 800 Bible plans and devotionals.

The NIV Bible by YouVersion is small and fast Bible app, great for offline use when you are not connected to the internet or to reduce data usage. It is completely free, with no ads or in-app purchases, so you can study the NIV Bible without distractions. It includes the popular and easy-to-read NIV Holy Bible version. You can also listen to the Holy Bible using the included, free audio Bible.

Customize your Bible with Highlights, Bookmarks, and public/private Notes. Access everything online, or download select versions to read offline. Read, study, and share with friends. Enjoy honest conversations about faith in trusted community. Grow together every day with friends, sharing your discoveries. Create shareable Bible art: add Bible verses to your photos.

The Dwell Bible App is formatted like Spotify, but with Scripture. You have access to all content through Internet, and you can also download individual chapters, books, or playlists to listen to offline.

To watch some of the intriguing backstory and the fascinating heart behind the Dwell Bible App, please take 5:22 minutes to watch this kick-starter video, which was launched in 2016! The one addendum I would add to this video, is that the Dwell Bible App now includes the full canon of Scripture, besides the Old Testament. The Dwell Bible App already hosts 3 bible English translation: ESV, NIV, KJV.

The creation of this offline app was made possible through a partnership between YouVersion and Biblica, a global Bible ministry. Mark Finzel, Biblica's vice president of digital innovation, emphasized the importance of this development, stating, "For much of the developing world, internet speeds and costs vary significantly. Always-on data is not a reality in these regions."

As the Bible says in Psalm 119:105, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." With the offline capabilities of Bible App Lite, this light can now shine even in areas where internet access is limited, bringing hope, guidance and spiritual nourishment to countless individuals around the world.

Some of the most recent growth for YouVersion, which Gruenewald said offers translations in 1,900 languages, has been in Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America. In December, Life.Church launched a new, low-data version of the app in several African countries. The new version is easier to use offline and takes up less space, making it better for low-capacity devices. YouVersion has also seen growth in Europe, which had not been a growth area in the past.

This is the best bible app out there. It has the word in different languages and versions for online and offline use. It has devotionals for everything you could think of. You can connect with others and ultimately learn about God and his Word.

Free downloads of the Bible are available from the YouVersion website (www.bible.com/app), which offers apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and Windows devices. Japanese Bible versions available are just two, the Colloquial Japanese version (; kgoyaku 1955) and the Japanese Living Bible (; JLB 1977).

The app will load and you will be able to read the bible without logging in or registering, if you want you can register an account or if you already have an account then sign in using those details.

To start reading the bible you will need to tap on read and the bible will load, you have the option to select the books, chapters, verses, versions, and languages. On selecting from books, chapters, verses, versions, and languages it will take you right there in a matter of seconds.

Another way to find the passage which you want is by using the search option, a very convenient option which YouVersion offers you is to search by Bible Stories. Many different stories of the bible will be highlighted under this option and on tapping it will take you to the different passages that are included in the bible stories.

Highlight any verse while reading the bible by long-pressing the text and then set the color to highlight it. In the same way, you can also share, create an image of the verse by selecting a background from different available images, make a note, share, bookmark, copy or find related.

With YouVersion Bible you can study with your friends, on the homepage you will find what your friends are doing and what all plans and different verses in which your friends are participating. You can encourage them by commenting, liking or you can also do a bible study plan with friends.

Once the book gets downloaded in place of bible download button a smartphone with tick mark will appear. This means you have that book downloaded on your device and it can be viewing or listened when offline

Downloaded Bible Books can be opened by tapping on book section and selecting the preferred downloaded book which you want to read and to listen to the audio bible you will need to open the book and then tap on the sound icon button which is appearing on the top right-hand side

I, of course, grabbed it then and have been enjoying the benefits of having the KJV and 2011 NIV available for offline reading. A few days ago I purchased a new phone. As a result I had to reinstall my old apps. For Android's the Bible app, my downloaded bibles were stored in the /sdcard/.youversion/ folder on the old phone. This folder contained the contents of my micro sdcard.

As I mentioned, the Bible app on the RAZR M was not picking up my downloaded KJV and NIV bibles. I found that the reason for this is that my old phone places the external storage in /sdcard, while the RAZR M places the internal storage in /sdcard. The RAZR M actually places external storage (my sdcard) in /mnt/external1; or, it did for me at least. I didn't start the RAZR M up with an sdcard inside so perhaps this only happens in certain situations.

YouVersion is the most popular Bible app in the world, and for good reason. As of 2022, YouVersion offered 2,863 Bible versions in 1,868 languages, some offline capabilities, as well as over 800 Bible plans and devotionals.

In August, we learned how we can help share God's Word through Bible App Lite, which will help bring fully offline, digital Bibles to millions of people around the world. It's been remarkable seeing how our church family has rallied around this effort.

The app has nearly 70 Bible versions, and you can download any number of them to read offline. Depending on your location, the app also supports several local languages in which you can read, in addition to global languages like English, French, and German.

This is another multi-version Bible app with a straightforward and plain user interface. In addition, it is an offline app, so you can study the Bible any time you want, even when your internet connection isn't working. By default, only the Good News Bible translation will be downloaded offline when you install the app. However, you can download other versions available inside the app by yourself.

Additionally, it has a Verse by Category section, which lists different themes, and when you select, display specific bible verses that talk about the theme. You'll also find a daily verse like other bible apps that you can share with friends and family whenever you like. ff782bc1db
