The chapters (called "episodes") are since November 26, 1990, also collected by Hakusensha in tankbon volumes; 42 have been released as of 2023. The volumes are released in English by Dark Horse Comics since October 22, 2003; they are since February 27, 2019, also releasing hardcover editions which each collect multiple volumes.[3] The Japanese volumes were re-released with new cover art starting in 2016, following the rebranding of Hakusensha's Jets Comics imprint as Young Animal Comics.[4]

After the tragic death of Kentaro Miura, many assumed his manga series Berserk would end with its 41st volume. Today, manga publisher Young Animal has announced on Twitter that the manga would resume on June 24.

In the latest issue of the Young Animal magazine released in Japan, announcing the return of Berserk with a brand-new chapter kicking off the first new arc for the series in over ten years. The upcoming chapter drops on September 22, with a brand-new volume coming out a week later on the 29th.

The upcoming volume will be the first new Berserk volume since the passing of author Kentaro Miura in May 2021. The last chapter released came out in May, concluding the Fantasia Arc that Miura had been working on up until his untimely passing, with concept arc and details he laid out to staff at Studio Gaga, and close friend Koji Mori being used to wrap up the arc.

Berserk is one of the greatest manga ever made. Created and produced by legendary manga artist Kentaro Miura--who passed away in 2021--Berserk is a visually stunning tale of swords, sorcery, and defying fate that spans a whopping 42 volumes.
