I am making a memorial slideshow/video to play at my friend's celebration of life using Canva. It is mostly photos with some songs that play in the background while the photos rotate, but I have a few short video clips I want to add as well. I am wondering if there is a way to make the songs I've added fade out/stop playing just whenever a video clip comes on? Otherwise, the background music continues to play and drowns out the audio that accompanies the videos. I have been looking everywhere but can't seem to figure it out. Any advice would be appreciated!!

Hey all! I'm in the process of trying to upgrade the quality of my videos, and one thing I'm struggling with is background music.

I have incorporated music in my last few videos, but finding good and fitting tracks in the Youtube Audio Library takes ages. I found myself reusing many of the same ones in the 2 videos that have background music.

The videos I'm kind of modelling after have a new track every 10-20 seconds it seems like. Any tips on how to get better at searching through the audio llibrary?Or maybe some different places to find background music?

Thanks!

Hey @Kisiel currently if you insert background audio, it will stop whenever a video is played in the presentation. As soon as the video is over or you prematurely progress the presentation, the audio will play again.

I was always wondering what was the point of the background music outside of entertainment, which often times is not even that much, unless one can call elevator music entertaining. And if the music is of high quality, I would listen to it on its own. In most circumstances, the background music does not add to the quality or the content.

If you look at the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, there is a guideline (1.4.7) on low or no background audio. However, it is a AAA requirement, meaning that most site owners would not think about it. But even if they did, what WCAG does here is giving you an advice to avoid it if possible, and a threshold that you can get by with, that is, the background audio is 20 decibels lower than the foreground. This is relative, depending on what the background and foreground audio is, while 20 decibels is not much. It also gives the option of providing a way to turn it off, which would be ideal, but most videos are not recorded or posted in a way that it can be done.

Think of it as a 'Show me'I'd like to play background music across the entire video. I only see an option to insert audio on a per-slide basis rather than across the entire story. Apologies if my question was answered in another discussion.
