Some contacts may have been stored on the old device with both the area code '+44' and the '0' in the phone number e.g. +44 (0) 7777777777. If so, the number may start with '+440' after being transferred, making the contact number invalid.

Well, your worries are over because Samsung Smart Switch lets you seamlessly transfer all your content from your old phone to your new Galaxy phone. Smart Switch will transfer data from most Android or iOS phones, and even some older Windows and Blackberry devices. Note: Smart Switch lets you transfer content from old phones to Galaxy devices only. For example, you cannot transfer content to an iOS device. The supported items may change depending on the connected device.

Next, complete the connection by tapping Allow on the old phone. On your new phone, choose the content you want to move, and then tap Transfer. Once the transfer is complete, tap Close on the new phone and you're good to go.

Note: iTunes music and videos cannot be transferred from iCloud. Unencrypted iTunes music can be transferred to your phone by simply copying the M4A files from a PC with your iTunes library. You can also transfer your music files directly from a PC.

Note: If you use Smart Switch via a USB OTG connection, make sure your devices are at least 20% charged to ensure a safe data transfer. The transfer may take a while, depending on the volume of multimedia data. It is recommended to fully charge your devices before beginning the transfer.

Wired transfer is best for people who don't have a lot of data on their old phone. This is because wired transfer doesn't allow you to keep your phones connected to a charger during the transfer. If you have a lot of data or years' worth of text messages to transfer, we recommend performing a wireless transfer instead.

On the new phone, tap Receive data, select the type of device you're transferring from (i.e. Galaxy/Android), and then tap Cable. Smart Switch will begin scanning the old phone for transferrable content.

After the scan, select the data you want transferred to the new phone. An estimate of the transfer time will be displayed. If the transfer will take more than an hour, you may want to use a wireless transfer so both phones can be charged during the transfer.

If you have a large enough capacity microSD card or USB OTG flash drive, you can use Smart Switch to transfer your data and back up your old device to the external storage. Before you begin, insert the microSD card or USB OTG storage device into the old phone.

Look for the Apps & Data screen. Then tap Move Data from Android. (If you already finished setup, you need to erase your iOS device and start over. If you don't want to erase, just transfer your content manually.)

Here's what gets transferred: contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, photo albums, files and folders, accessibility settings, display settings, web bookmarks, mail accounts, WhatsApp messages and media, and calendars. If they're available on both Google Play and the App Store, some of your free apps will also transfer. After the transfer completes, you can download any free apps that were matched from the App Store.

Before you transfer anything, you'll need to create a backup first. If you haven't done so already, follow the steps below to backup your data and photos before you start the transfer. If you've already backed up your data and photos to your Google account, skip down to the last section.

Before using cross-device copy and paste for the first time, you'll need to make sure the feature is turned on. Open the Phone Link on your PC, go to Settings > Features > Cross-device copy and paste, and make sure the toggle is On for Allow this app to access and transfer content I copy and paste between my phone and PC.

By default, content you drag from your PC to your Android device will be saved to your My Files app. Some apps, like OneDrive and Outlook, will allow you to directly drop content into them. File drag and drop supports the transfer of all file types except for folders and files backed up to the cloud. You can transfer up to 100 files at a time, of any type. No single file can be larger than 512MB in size.

The item being transferred is not supported. For example, if even just one of the items you are dragging is a folder and not a file, or you try dragging 100 files, your Android device won't allow you to start a transfer.

I've never had trouble connecting my phone to the same computer under Windows 10, so I surmised that there was no problem on the phone's end. On an Android Pixel 2 and Ubuntu 18.04.1, to allow file transfer via a USB cable from the phone to the computer, on the phone, go to Settings > 'Connected devices' > 'USB' > select 'File Transfer'. This worked immediately for me: the phone showed up in Device Notifier and allowed me to download photos with Gwenview. And it also allowed me to delete the photos on the phone from the computer after I had downloaded them.

2 yrs ago I used Samsung Smart Switch to transfer Evernote Premium from one Android phone to another with no problem. I now cannot transfer it to a new Android phone from either my Android tablet or phone. The icon is transferred but no notes- I am just invited to write my first note. I have tried downloading Evernote directly but can get only a new basic version ( limit 2 devices) unless I pay again . I have given all attempts 48 hours to synch. No success. There seems to be no way of downloading a version and logging into it with the hope of syncing. ff782bc1db
