Is there any way to import the document and be able to edit it and then resize it so I could publish it? I'd love to take it from an 8 1/2 by 11 workbook to a 5 by 8 and edit the text but so far the Canva interface just locks up or does nothing at all or crashes.

I've made a cv on canva and I'm wanting to put it onto word while keeping the design perfect and the same. I've tried through ilovepdf and it worked but it put all my words onto a second page. Can someone help me do it?

Create a new page in your course and then copy and paste the content from the external file to the Canvas page. Below is a helpful video (4:59) from @ONE which takes you through the conversion process. The document used in the video is a PDF, but the same steps apply to a Word doc.

Your document will open up as a Canva page design. Next, adjust the layout to match the original design you had in Word. You can edit the text, and images from your Word Document just like how you do it in any Canva design.

Hi all,

I have a requirement for showing set of documents in PowerApps. I searched about my requirement in internet there is no option for word viewer in PowerApps rather than PowerApps have one pdf viewer. Can u have any other workaround for show word documents.

The word processor will offer a selection of format templates for users to choose from, and Canva's Docs to Decks feature will be able to automatically reformat a document into a presentation for you. You'll be able to edit it afterwards of course, but it should take care of a lot of the work for you.

Canva Docs will also allow users to embed other Canva projects into their documents, such as presentations, videos, and even digital whiteboards. Canva launched its new Whiteboards tool last month, a Miro competitor which enables users to collaborate remotely on an infinite workspace. These projects can be placed directly into a Canva document, as well as opened and edited right from within Docs.

Similar questions have been asked before (for example, Copy/paste html inline image from browser to word processors). The ones about copying a canvas all seem to resolve to (currently) "it can't be done." The ones about copying from img items seem to resolve to use a context menu (Save Image As...). However, I've found an instance where it is possible, and I'd like to know what's going on.

If you want to get them copied into word, you'll need to do the translation of canvas to images yourself. Screenshot comes to mind. There may be other methods. Explore using SVGs - I don't have a source but believe they are better supported outside of browsers.

I have a word document in which I note down things I learn, some of which are accompanied by images. I recently noticed the size of my document had rocketed, so renamed it to a .zip and looked at its contents. In the word/media folder, I found that many of my images had been saved in the PNG format, when they had originally been embedded as JPG images.

I did some experimenting and found that when I add a plain JPG and save my document, the image stays as JPG inside the document, but when I add a drawing canvas, and add the image to that, the JPG gets converted to PNG which is much much larger.

EDIT: I have also found out that if we add an image to a textbox, then put that text box in the drawing canvas (hence the image too), the image does not get converted hence there is no massive increase in document size! I don't know why this trick works, but it does!

Thanks in large part to the rise of social media, communication has become increasingly visual. We don't just send blocks of texts to each other -- we send videos, memes that combine words and images, emojis, and other forms of visual content. Yet to create longer-form content, particularly in a professional setting, people often find themselves creating text-based documents with programs like Microsoft Word or Google Docs.

Canva also offers a whole range of templates for Canva Docs, ranging from templates for mood boards to others for strategy documents. There's also a "Docs to Decks" feature that lets you turn your document into a presentation with just a few clicks. All of the formatting and design layout happens automatically.

Align the objects on the canvas. To align the objects, press and hold CTRL while you select the objects that you want to align. On the Format tab, in the Arrange group, click Align to choose from an assortment of alignment commands.

Document tags are an important component of accessibility, enabling students to easily navigate content. Language settings help screen readers render more accurate pronunciations. PDFs flagged for these issues are typically a result of printing a Word document as a PDF. In other words, when creating a PDF from Microsoft Word, you select the File tab, then Print, then Adobe PDF as the printer.

If your instructor creates a cloud assignment with a Microsoft OneDrive file, you can open the assignment, edit the document directly, and submit your changes as your assignment submission. For more information, view How do I submit a cloud assignment with Microsoft Office 365? from the Instructure Community.

Files stored in OneDrive can be viewed through the Microsoft OneDrive link in the Course Navigation. With the recent update to OneDrive's LTI in Canvas, you can add new folders, upload files, sort files and folders, and edit documents directly from OneDrive within Canvas. Files in Microsoft OneDrive are your personal files and only visible to you, unless shared through other methods.

In the current digital age, everything is online, including creating documents for students or professionals. Online word processors have become one of the most significant tools for creating, editing, and sharing documents on the internet.

Google Docs allows you to add third-party apps from the Google Workspace Marketplace to add extra functionality to your documents. Additionally, you can integrate other Google services such as Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Drive, and third-party services like Dropbox and Zapier.

You can create or edit quiz questions comfortably in a Word document and then use Respondus to import the Word document into Canvas as a Quiz or as aQuestion Bank. You can always manually copy/paste the questions from Word into a new question directly in Canvas, but if you have quite a few questions, it can be faster to use Respondus.

This document will outline the basics for migrating simple quiz content created in Word into Canvas; much more detailed documentation for different question types is available in the Respondus Knowledge Base or you can get help from Teaching and Learning Technologies by emailing classes@emory.edu.

Note: While the official FIU fonts are Frank New, Furore (serif) and Helvetica (alternative),  it is also acceptable to use Arial in PowerPoint presentations and word documents to ensure consistency across older versions of the software.

2. Open the browser and log into Canvas at canvas.upenn.edu with your PennKey username and password. Then, drag your mouse over the Courses tab and select the course containing the affected file.

The dark canvas does not convey how your document will print, or the default view your collaborators will see when they open it. To confirm the default view (white canvas), use the Switch Modes button to flip the page color to white. Never want to see a dark canvas? Go to Word > Preferences > General > Personalize and select the Turn off Dark Mode option to disable both the dark Office theme and the dark page color, or the Dark Mode has a white page color option to continue using Dark mode with the white page background.

Google Doc: Allows students to upload a document from their Google account. If you have a Chromebook, then you will most likely use this to upload your work. Your student email is a Gmail account, most students use Google Docs to upload and store their school documents. ff782bc1db
