Those colors are too dark for my taste, but what I do love are the wider stripes accented with the narrow stripes in what appear to be a metallic finish. That is actually Zoffany wallpaper, but I knew I could easily create something similar with paint.

And hopefully I can get some better daytime pictures of the walls soon. I worked late into the evening, and only got night time pics of the parts I had finished. I think the stripes look a bit more subtle during the day with good lighting, and I prefer that subtle look. I also need to get a pic looking from my kitchen into the music room. The two rooms next to each other look pretty great, if I do say so myself! ?

I am so happy to have you back! I hope you enjoyed your Christmas. I love the wall. You are sooooo creative. I am glad that you are making each room pretty for now. It will be years before you can create your dream home. You deserve to have it pretty in the meantime. I also like how you can try different techniques and live with them for awhile and decide if these will be keepers. I also think it is important for your creative side. You have so many ideas. I love the wall pattern it looks so pretty , now for the ceiling i would say add bead board or paint the ceiling a fresh new coat of white paint just for temporaray option , untill you can get new drywall up there,work with what you got ?

Did anyone else notice that the new walls look like the original floor treatment you did on the kitchen floor?

We marked the center of each big rectangle, and installed our final two vertical boards. This divided our wall into four rectangles, which was just the right balance of making the wall interesting without being too busy. Every wall is different, so just hold up boards and step back to see what will look good for yours!

Now, it was time to add the horizontal boards. Based on our original drawing, our horizontal board was supposed to be at chair rail height. But, we ended up changing our minds after seeing how it looked in-person, and considering the desk & loveseat in the room would block us from seeing the chair rail. We chose to place the horizonal board higher up on the wall, which gave us the added bonus of making the wall look taller by drawing our eye upward!

New Chamberlain unit has a "smart" wall switch with motion sensor and programming buttons. Still just 2 wires going to motor unit, but shorting the wires will not open or close the door.

Looks perfect. Any idea if this will also act as a shorting button ? I'm not sure I want to replace all 4 openers as my 23 year old ones work perfectly (though a little noisier). I did want a quieter one below my bedroom. I would wager these new ones will never last that long. Would like wall buttons to all be the same Thank you!

I have to gather this is on the newer units because up to a certain manufactured year the fancy remote controller worked perfectly fine and it never cut the power to my unit. With the advent of the Internet *My Q* module it seems the reliance on the data bus is more stringent than years past.

As far as I know, my new myQ units won't work with a dry contact button period - not even when you don't have a fancy button involved. I tried it. I just ended up using the big fancy buttons that came with it (figured out a way to mount them on the wall that doesn't look too bad and fits in the space). I didn't have ISY control of my doors before though, and still don't - only through myQ - so I'll have to solder to a wireless remote unless somebody above my pay grade figures out how to make the ISY talk to the myQ bridge box. That would be ideal since it knows the current status etc... and maybe you could access the lights in the GDO as devices also.

Fancy Pants two Walkthrough!

(By doing it in this order, you will get to see all the fun secret levels... ooh!)

Well... lets see here. World two. First, lets get the basics.

Arrows move, up enters doors, down ducks, slides, or rolls.

"S" Jumps.

Hold down while landing to slide forward.

Hold jump while stomping a baddie to jump higher.

Hold up or down while wall jumping to change your jump.

Press space to pause and "Q" in the pause screen to go to the main menu.

As you enter the first screen, you notice 7 doors. The first one to your right starts the game.

You have to go there right now, but wait. Once you get some trophies or new colors, you'll be able to use the far left and right doors,

but you can use the left one now to switch your colors, from yellow, green, red and blue.

The four doors on the bottom are for contacting the author, or playing the first version!

I highly recommend doing so, if you havent done already.

Step through the door saying "Start game!"

Press "S" to hit the snail, and go in front of the sign to read it.

You will see little curvies above you. Those regain health and lives, and add to your little counter

under your health! Run, read the next sign if you want, and punt the snail shell. Chances are that you got it in the hole.

If not, punt it again and go talk to the man.If you want, you can go back and get all the curvies. Press "Up" Next to him, and watch the cutscene.

Jump into the hole.

You will land in a wierd looking place.

Jump on some of the spiders. You can either simply jump on them, then run into them, or hold down jump, and kill them right away (LIKE MARIO!)

For now, go up on the platforms above you, onto the spring and up the "stairs".

Jump onto the snail shell.

(TO READ AHEAD, LOOK FOR A TOPIC WITH THIS SIGN : "&"

Read the sign. Now, hit the shell down and hope it will land on a green thingy. If it doesnt.. either try to get it back on, or press space and restart the level, Although if you read ahead, there is a way to get it very close to the end, with it still on the bottom half of the time!

Punt it to the right, making it land on green platforms as it goes. If it falls, restart, or read ahead.. At the end, there will be a green platform with a brown extention. When the shell gets there, punt it, and it will hopefully land in

the hole, getting you teal pants! You now have one more choice in the color room!

If you are having trouble, here are some tricks!

When the shell is in the air, if you jump under it, it will go pretty high.

If you jump from REALLY high up, and hit the shell, it will go FLYING upwards.

(SHELLJUMPIf you get the shell really close to you (Easily obtained by tapping it close to a ramp, then waiting while it goes down), and jump, it will fly upwards.

(&amp!Also, for the first level, you can hit the shell on the ground level toward the left. Hit it past the little area where the ground is semi-elevated and straight. There should be a tiny depression to the left. Hit the shell in there, and go on top of the elevated area.

Jump, to the left, and hope you land on top of the shell. If you do, it will fly upwards, and land on top of a curved green platform. Go up there, jump on it. It will go on the next one. Quickly jump up, and punt it. It might go into the hole, it might not. If it doesnt, rinse and repeat.

After you have your cyan pants.. lets continue. Go to the very left of the ground floor. Hold left, and go up the curve. Go up the next one. Jump to the right, and go threw the door with the halo.

Jump on the bees. Reach the top to get the trophy.

Here are some common problems.

For the first bee, jump when it hits the top, and you will hang on the rope.

To wall jump, jump onto a wall, and repeatedly hit "S" tada.

Now:

Hold left, and only jump when you have the gap between the door and the place were you were before, and when you have to jump to the upper platform. Jump on the spring, and tada.

HOLD LEFT AND ENJOY THE RIDE!

Level 2: Hold left, enjoy the ride for a while, but when it starts to go down, jump onto the platform. Jump on the next and read the sign. Run toward the wall and jump. When you get high enough, press "S". Scare the snail, and punt the shell down, where you were "supposed" to go.

After to make it through the tiny hole, make sure the snail gets to the end of the level. BUT WAIT! Halfway through, you will start going down again, on the left side, around the same area as the first time. Jump onto the platform, and go up the slipy wall slide. Jump on the spring, and go into the next door.

THIS IS THE MOST CONFUSING TROPHY! Keep trying to find the exit, it shouldnt take too long. The lack of lines, especially on the boulders, get kinda annoying, but its worth it.

That was annoying. Now, go all the way down, taking the shell with you.

If you find(As i did) that your shell has been taken by the magical faries from god knows where, go back to the beginning, to find that your snail buddy is back where he was with his shell!

Take it all the way down to the end of the level.

Now the hard part(It gets way easier after this, i swear!)

After you finally got your shell to a complete stop, either bellow or on the door platform, then either jump on it or jump from under it, to knock it on the top platform. Jump there from the handles on the wall.

Either kick it from the right into the wall, or use the shelljump, to get it to the next. Shelljump, or risk another punt , to get it to the next. Same story with the next, but you basically HAVE to shelljump. Then, on the last platform, get to the right of the shell, and run to the left, hoping to god that it will make it into the hole.

Go through the door.

Run through the green level, and go through the door.

Level 3: The infamous BLACK pants. Try to get the shell on top of the first red platform you see. When you have that, run to the right and into the cannon. Point it facing to the top left, or a bit higher than the top line of >. You should land on a greased platform. Try as hard as you can to stop, and if you jump , be careful. The first time i did,

i jumped too high and ended up next to the exit area. Die if you do that. Standing on the greased platform, fall of the left edge. Hit right and hold it, hopefully landing right on top of the shell.

If it falls back down, try again. If it stays up there, good job!

Get back into the cannon, and go straight up. Continue through the level, ignoring the door. Find your shell, and punt it to the left, into the black pants hole! TADA! THE MOST AWSOME PANTS IN THE GAME!

Return back the way you came, wall jumping up the area if you have to. Go back to the place where you landed from the "Straight up shot" from the cannon. Jump to the left, onto the yellow dotted line, follow these to the door you saw earlier.

You will come to a confusing but way less confusing than the previous level. The only tip i have for you is this: Wall jump, and dont miss the cars.

Go back to the Black Pants area. Following the arrow, wall jump, then jump on the springs. Go through the door.

The idea for this mini-level is to use the oil on the walls to glide and jump. Shouldnt take more than two tries.

Optional: Press space and then "Q", after you go through the door. There you can change colors, and look at your trophies.

When you are done, go to level select, and step through "Level 4", or view the trophy rooms again!

Level 4: Head to the right, and jump, and basically get up to the part where you see a greased up downward passageway.

Go back(Not to much) to where the green spikey thing goes up a little. Stand on the top, and run toward the wall with the passageway. Jump at the last second, and you should go sliding up.

Go inside the door (Do not do anything while sliding up, let it go to the top, and hang there. Press jump) and go through the easiest and second longest mini level of the game!

Fall down through the passageway where you climbed up, and sail through the area. Jump on the spring. Keep going until you have to jump from the tip of the green thing.(The second time) Intead, fall down. Jump onto the snail, and punt the shell to the left. Take it all the way to the top.

Punt it, to the right, and wait. Jump to the right, and DONT land on it. Land to the left of it, and you should kick it all the wau to the right, and it should fall. Continue going. Fall down where it did, on the right of the green platforms in the middle. Kick it down the slimy passageway where you got the trophy. Tada. The yellow hole is to your right.

Go back to where you got your shell, and tada, the exit is right there!

Go through the little techy platform level, and tada...

Level 5: The Cyan pants hole is to your right. Go through the level, up until you pop out of the green tube.

Go up, and jump on the spring. The second you hit it, hold left. You should grab onto a handle bar. Keep pressing jump, and go through the afro ninja door.

(AFRO NINJA DOOR) This one needs a guide in itself. It is, by far, the hardest mini level. The tree one was the most annoying =). Wall jump up, but on the last one, hold up.

Jump, and go through the level as you normally would. On the part where you run up the wall, at the end, just press jump, and that is it. Jump through the platforms, and TADA!

Go through the door, and run to your right. You should land on a little platform. Continue going to the right. Continue running and jumping to the right until you reach a door(The exit.) DO NOT GO THROUGH!

Run and jump to the right. Hit the snail shell down, and it hopefully wont land where it did for me. If it does, you will have to hit it up a semi-steep long platform. If it doesnt, continue hitting it down, and into the cyan hole. Probobly the easiest pants to get.

Go back up and through the door.

Go through the platform mini-level. Shouldnt be too hard.

Level 6: Again, easiest thing ever. Go up through the level and find the snail. Go to the left, and into the door.

Shouldnt be too hard, the only thing is for the cannon. Point it almost completely to the left.

Fall down, for the trophy door. Go through the exit door.

(Continueing from the door) Wall jump up, back to the snail. Punt it to the left. Let it roll down, and then at the end, let it hit you on the head, and it should go into the red goal.

(If it falls down, restart)

Drop down into the green vine and continue the level as usual.

Go through the door leading to angry rabbit.

Avoid him, until he flies up. Kill the squigly, and hit the shell at him. Jump on him.

Rinse and repeat. Nothing changes, exept there is two squiglies more every time. You only have to hit him 3 times.

After your done, you got your icecream, and you have been super teliporeted ploxors to the main menu. Look to the top right hand corner, and tada.! 6/6,6/6!

WOOT! You can now change your pants to all the different colors, and can visit any level! e24fc04721
