The Web site wego.here.com (formerly here.com) evolved out of the maps.ovi.com and then maps.nokia.com site and provides the web companion to the HERE suite. It works on all major browsers. Users can organize their favorite places on collections and sync to mobile devices. The Web application also uses WebGL to offer 3D map views without a plugin. With 3D goggles, users can get stereoscopic views of 25 cities. It also provides detailed street-level imaging for many cities.[20] As of 2013, the Web site offers routing support between many waypoints, city pages of over fifty popular cities showing local time and weather conditions, along with information from Lonely Planet and suggested places, 3D maps of 25 cities, with routing support.[21][22] It also offers live traffic flow visualization, public transport search, and synchronization of user's points of interest (Collections) between the Web site and mobile device. Additionally, it shows heat maps to visualize areas popular for food, nightlife, shopping and local sights in select cities, listing and managing businesses.[23]

HERE WeGo provides turn-by-turn navigation in both offline and online modes. Users can enter a destination address, landmark, or business name, and then the app automatically calculates directions and distance to the destination. Real-time traffic data (where available) is also factored and a prediction made on arrival time to the destination.[34]

Users can save the location and details of destinations as 'Collections' if they are online and signed in.[39] It is not possible to store destinations offline, on the device. Location and destination can be shared with standard platform tool. As of 23 October 2017[update] there was no option to sort collections by name or distance in the Web, Android, and iOS versions.

I looked at the metadata and can see it's now just wego:// for everything, but that's all I can get from the metadata. From trial and error it looks like wego://route causes the app to launch as if I had passed it a route, however everything I've tried (e.g. wego://route/mylocation/37.870090,-122.268150) results in it just sitting there with my current location as the start and destination. Similar behavior for location and place.

I had the same problem with 1:2.0.11430 on Jolla C and downgrading helped. Tried 1:2.0.11510 from jolla store, but doesn't work for me. I may have encountered a different issue, then. If I have GPS enabled and no app reading the location, WeGo can't make the GPS icon appear. If, say, GPSInfo already uses GPS i.e. the icon is there already, WeGo can use the location just fine. That was what I tried to explain.

Big automotive companies like Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW already leverage HERE WeGo Maps as part of their in-car GPS navigation systems. But there are also tons of customers outside of the automotive industry as well.

Here WeGo has more updated imagery for Cambodia than Google. I would like to add the WeGo image tile to QGIS. I have followed the instructions here and can add the WeGo street layers to my map of Cambodia.

I have followed this link to add satellite imagery. I took the original XML file posted in the link and altered the URL but used the same key as the street layer version of the XML.

Unlike Apple Maps, there's no hybrid map/satellite view in HERE WeGo, and the 3D maps that feature in the HERE web application, don't appear in this iOS version. There's no street view either, which is a bit disappointing.

HERE WeGo also offers a new Route Comparison tool, which allows users to compare different transportation options. As well as the regular car, cycling, public transport and walking routes, the app has now partnered with car sharing firm Car2Go as a new option. This lets you find out where the nearest available rental car is, and how much you can expect to pay to reach your destination if you go with that option. It also lets you reserve a car right there and then, if you decided to go ahead.
