I'm kind of hoping someone else has run into this, it seems like every time I turn around Cisco is breaking the Anyconnect Mobile android app somehow. I've got a conditional access policy that requires a managed device to pass authentication using Azure for idP.

The anyconnect app is installed into the Android work profile from the badged play store. However it looks like when it launches a browser for authentication with Azure it's launching the non-work profile Chrome browser, so when Azure evaluates the device it comes back as not registered and won't permit the connection.

I don't think they are public - from a public CA whose root cert will be preinstalled on android.

You can easily check - just open the certificate on the ASA, and view it's chain. look at the details for the root and any intermediary authority. Then go to the andriod device and check it has that root and intermediary listed as trusted authorities.

Hello all,

I'm having a weird issue connecting with Anyconnect with both android and iPhone devices. I'm getting the error "The certificate is from an untrusted source.." This would make sense if I was using a self-signed cert, however this certificate is from GoDaddy. I have no issues connecting from Windows/Mac (both see cert as valid/trusted). Is this a known issue or am I missing something? I can't seem to find anything online similar to my issue.

If you are already enrolled with an Android device but it was setup before May of 2023 you will likely need to repeat the setup process. There is information on changing your enrollment here under the Android Work Profile Migration Instructions : -docs.maine.gov/docs/android

Thank you Phil! I created a case by calling them. Was an hour on the phone and agent was trying to figure out if certificate was expired. He also escalated the issue internally. He asked me to upgrade tonight to latest firmware to force the certificate recreation.

I also used my AnyConnect android app to clearly show me the details on when the certificate expired (last night) and was not automatically renewed. I asked them via email to see if they can generate a new/valid certificate before tonight, I cannot work on that MX until late tonight or users will come out with pitchforks and torches.

On your device, open the Google Play Store and search for 'anyconnect.' Select Cisco AnyConnect and tap Install. Tap OK on the licensing agreement and let the app finish being installed.

I am using Laserfiche mobile V.10.0.0 on my Android phone (Samsung Note 4 running Android 5.1.1). Every time, and I mean every time, I use the app, it crashes, even when just browsing folders in my respository. It crashes hard too. I use the report option within the android system every time I try to use the app. And by crashing hard I mean, once I report it, it continues to prompt to report the crash on average about 10 times before I can get back to my home screen by hitting my home button.

Thank you for the response. I am able to stop it, but wanted to let Laserfiche know of the issue mostly. I will also try it on other android devices I have and let you know if I get the same behaviour.

So I tested it with 3 other android devices that I own. One is a Samsung Core Prime phone running android 5.1.1 and Laserfiche 10.0.0 and it works fine. The next device is a BLU Studio Selfie phone running Android 5.1 and Laserfiche 10.0.0 and it works fine. The last device is an Alcatel OneTouch P310A running android 4.2.2 and Laserfiche 10.0.0 and it works fine. So it seems isolated to my Galaxy Note 4.

Just to let you know that LF Mobile 10.1 for android did not end up working any better on my Galaxy Note 4. I have come to the realization that it is just my phone. Like I said in an earlier reply, I have other android devices that work fine. Good news for me, I am planning to get a new primary phone in a few weeks, so hopefully I don't have the same issues. 2351a5e196
