A home that Las Vegas police raided this week in connection with the 1996 drive-by shooting of Tupac Shakur is tied to one of the only surviving witnesses to the crime, a man long known to investigators whose nephew was seen as a suspect shortly after the rapper's killing.
The 24 heavily redacted videos obtained Thursday by The Associated Press do not provide a view into the home or identify the couple, whose faces were blurred from view as the officers shouted commands to "come out with your hands up and your hands empty!"

Residents of the neighborhood in foothills about 20 miles (32 kilometers) southeast of the Las Vegas Strip said they saw officers detain two people outside the home Monday night while investigators searched the one-story property.
KTNV 13 reported late Tuesday that an unnamed official said that police searched a home for computers, laptops and articles about Shakur and his death. The source said the evidence is being presented to a Las Vegas grand Jury and could result in charges being brought against someone being in the vehicle with the gunman.
Shakur was shot on the night of Sept. 7, 1996, while driving home from a boxing match at the MGM Grand. Before leaving the hotel, Shakur was seen fighting with Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson, who'd had a previous run-in with a member of Shakur's entourage.
On Monday night, a SWAT team descended upon a home in Henderson, Nevada at around 10 p.m. local time with a search warrant in connection to the rapper's death. Footage obtained by TMZ shows the Las Vegas Metro Police Department forcefully ordering two people inside to come out with their hands up.
