Couples Diary App: Dovly ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

Information You Provide
Display Name: The name you enter during onboarding to personalize your experience. Relationship Date & Birthdays: The relationship start date and birthday information you provide during onboarding to power the days-together counter and special day reminders. Photos & Memories: Photos you upload when adding memories. These are uploaded to secure cloud storage solely to display them within your couple's shared space. Partner Information Cards: Personal details you voluntarily enter about yourself or your partner (e.g., favorite flower, ring size, blood type).
Automatically Collected Information
Device Identifier: We use your device's unique identifier (identifierForVendor on iOS) to create and restore your account without requiring email or password registration. Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and language settings. Usage Data: Anonymous data regarding app performance, crash reports, and feature usage to help us improve the app.
Dovly does not require email registration and does not collect your email address, phone number, or social media credentials unless you voluntarily provide a backup email in Settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
Create and maintain your account using your device identifier.
Calculate and display the days-together counter based on your relationship start date.
Display upcoming special days and birthday countdowns.
Sync your couple's shared content in real time between both partners.
Store and display memories and photos within your private couple space.
Manage premium features and subscriptions.
Fix bugs and improve overall performance.
3. Photo & Content Privacy
Cloud Storage: Photos you upload as memories are stored in a secure private cloud storage bucket. They are not publicly accessible and are only visible to you and your partner within your shared couple space. No Sharing: Dovly does not sell, share, or use your photos or personal content for marketing purposes. Access: We only access your photo library with your explicit permission to allow you to select images for memories.
4. Data Sharing & Couple Space
Dovly is designed as a shared private space for two partners. Any content you add — memories, special days, partner cards — is visible to both members of your couple space and no one else. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this policy.
5. Third-Party Services
Dovly uses trusted third-party services for:
In-App Purchases: Apple App Store and RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and premium features. Database & Storage: Supabase to securely store and sync your couple's data. These services process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
6. Data Retention & Account Recovery
Your account is linked to your device identifier. If you uninstall the app or change devices, access to your data may be lost unless you have set up a backup email in Settings. We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information including encrypted cloud storage, private access controls, and Row Level Security on our database ensuring only you and your partner can access your couple's data. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Dovly is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Your Rights
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete the app. You can manage your photo library access permissions in your device settings. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Service indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
