I'm a journalist, and am currently the editor of SuchScience.
For more than twenty years, I have been writing about science, technology, politics, art, architecture, and more for publications including The New York Times, The Economist, Wired, New Scientist, BBC Future, The Washington Post, The Associated Press, IEEE Spectrum, Quartz, The Village Voice, CBS News Radio, and Frieze.
From 2003 to 2009, I produced a daily radio program for Wired Magazine that was broadcast on CBS News Radio. I also worked as a Media Affairs Specialist at the U.S. Department of State from 2018 to 2020.
Likewise, I have translated many books and publications from Dutch to English, including books about architecture, art, photography, and Dutch culture and history.
I graduated from Colgate University in 1991 with a Bachelor's degree in English.
