If you want ultra-low latency audio for crisp video calls and side-sleeping comfort, choose Doubc Sleep Ear Buds; if you need a customizable touchscreen interface and adaptive EQ modes to tailor your sound profile, choose ZYHKON Sleep Earbuds.
• Doubc Sleep Ear Buds: The standout strength is its lightning-fast 50-millisecond audio latency paired with IP7 waterproofing, making it ideal for active users or those who sweat during the night. Its biggest trade-off is a shorter standalone battery life of just 1.5 hours before needing a case recharge. This pick is for the person who prioritizes real-time connection stability over marathon listening sessions without charging.
• ZYHKON Sleep Earbuds: The clear winner here is the innovative full-color LED touchscreen on the charging case, offering granular control over volume, tracks, and sleep settings without touching the earbuds themselves. However, the lack of explicit waterproof rating in the data sheet suggests it may not handle heavy moisture as well as its competitor. This choice fits the tech-savvy user who wants visual feedback and sound customization rather than rugged durability.
The Doubc S29 model feels engineered for someone who treats their sleep headphones like serious audio gear first and sleep aids second. At just 10 grams total, the weight distribution is minimal, but the real story lies in the connectivity specs. With Bluetooth 5.4 and a remarkably low 50-millisecond latency, these buds eliminate that annoying lag between seeing lips move and hearing speech. This specific technical detail makes them an excellent candidate for anyone using a bluetooth gaming headset for video calls setup where timing matters, even if they are repurposing them for sleep.
Water resistance is another major pillar for this product. The IP7 rating means these earphones can withstand immersion in water up to one meter for thirty minutes. If you are someone who sweats heavily during REM cycles or lives in a humid climate, this feature provides a level of peace of mind that standard sleep buds often lack. The 13mm dynamic drivers push out a frequency response from 20 hertz up to the upper limits of human hearing, ensuring that while you are drifting off to a podcast, the bass remains deep and the highs stay crisp without distortion.

However, the battery architecture demands a specific lifestyle. The average play time is listed at only 1.5 hours on a single charge. While the charging case extends this to a total of 53 hours, the reality is you will need to pop them back into the case every hour or so for long work-from-home days. This isn't a dealbreaker for sleeping, but if you plan to use them as a best ear clip headphones for video calls solution for a four-hour meeting, you might find yourself constantly recharging. They are best suited for short bursts of high-fidelity audio or overnight use where you simply forget them until morning.
The ZYHKON SU9 model takes a different approach, focusing heavily on user interaction and sound personalization. The defining feature is undeniably the smart full-color LED touchscreen on the charging box. In a market dominated by simple touch controls on the buds themselves, having a screen that lets you adjust wallpaper, brightness, language, and volume directly on the case is a unique luxury. It transforms the act of managing your audio into something tactile and visual, which is particularly useful if you are fumbling in the dark trying to answer a call or skip a track.
For audiophiles who care about the nuance of their sound, the five custom EQ modes—Standard, Classic, Jazz, Rock, and Pop—are a significant draw. Most sleep earbuds offer a flat, generic sound profile designed only to mask noise. ZYHKON allows you to sculpt the audio experience to match your mood or the content you are consuming. Whether you are listening to a jazz playlist to unwind or a rock track to energize, the ability to switch profiles ensures the sound matches the intent. The 13mm dynamic drivers work in tandem with this EQ system to deliver rich, resonant bass and shimmering highs, creating an immersive stereo field that rivals much larger headphones.
Battery life is where ZYHKON truly shines compared to its competitor. With a total playtime of up to 48 hours, these earbuds are built for endurance. You can wear them for multiple nights without ever needing to plug in the USB-C cable. The "Sleep Mode" feature is also critical here; it specifically disables low-battery alarms and shutdown prompts, ensuring that the device never interrupts your dreams with a robotic voice warning you to charge. This makes them a superior choice for light sleepers who are easily disturbed by electronic beeps. They are perfect for the traveler or the shift worker who needs reliable, uninterrupted audio for days at a time.
• Best for Video Call Latency: Doubc Sleep Ear Buds win hands down with their 50ms latency spec, ensuring your voice and the caller's voice sync perfectly.
• Best for Custom Sound Profiles: ZYHKON Sleep Earbuds offer five distinct EQ modes, allowing you to tune the audio exactly to your preference.
• Best for Durability and Water Resistance: Doubc is rated IP7 Waterproof, meaning it can handle sweat and accidental splashes that might damage the ZYHKON unit.
• Best for Interface Control: ZYHKON features a full-color LED touchscreen on the case, providing visual feedback and easier control than simple taps.
• Best for Battery Endurance: ZYHKON offers a massive 48-hour total playtime, whereas Doubc requires more frequent charging due to its 1.5-hour per-charge limit.
• Best for Heavy Sleepers: Both models support side sleeping, but ZYHKON explicitly markets its "sleep mode" to silence all alarms, which is a crucial safety feature for uninterrupted rest.
• Best for Active Use: If you exercise or move around a lot before bed, the IP7 rating on the Doubc buds makes them the safer, more durable option.
• Best for Tech Enthusiasts: The combination of a touchscreen interface and custom EQ modes makes the ZYHKON model more appealing to those who love tweaking settings.
I would personally buy the Doubc Sleep Ear Buds for my own nightly routine, primarily because of the IP7 waterproofing and the low latency. I have found that sweat management is often overlooked in sleep products, and knowing these can handle moisture gives me confidence in their longevity. Additionally, for anyone looking to use these as a bluetooth gaming headset for video calls, the 50-millisecond latency is a non-negotiable advantage that prevents the awkward delay that ruins conversation flow. While the ZYHKON model has a fantastic screen, the constant need to recharge every 90 minutes feels like a friction point I don't need. I recommend the Doubc for its balance of durability and performance-critical features.
