Welcome to Dora. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Dora ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Dora mobile application (the "App") and related services.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. THEY CONTAIN A MANDATORY ARBITRATION PROVISION AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER THAT AFFECT YOUR RIGHTS.
1. Eligibility
By creating an account and using the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are legally permitted to use the App by the laws of your home country.
- You have not been convicted of, nor are you subject to any court order relating to, assault, violence, sexual misconduct, or harassment.
- You are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country.
2. Account and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify Dora of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. User Responsibilities & Code of Conduct
Dora is designed to help adults connect and build meaningful relationships. By using the App, you agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose or to promote illegal activities.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
- "Stalk," harass, bully, intimidate, or harm another user.
- Post content that is hate speech, threatening, sexually explicit, or pornographic.
- Use the App for solicitation, prostitution, or spamming.
- Scrape, data mine, or use automated systems to access the App.
4. Content and License
- Your Content: You retain ownership of the information, photos, and content you post ("User Content"). However, by posting User Content, you grant Dora a worldwide, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free right and license to host, store, use, display, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, publish, and distribute such content for the purpose of operating, developing, providing, promoting, and improving the App.
- Dora’s Rights: Dora owns all rights, title, and interest in the App’s technology, interface, trademarks, and logos.
- Monitoring: We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor and review User Content. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.
5. Safety and Interactions with Others
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS.
- No Background Checks: You understand that Dora does not conduct criminal background checks on its users or otherwise inquire into the background of its users. Dora makes no representations or warranties as to the conduct of users.
- User Discretion: You agree to use caution in all interactions with other users, particularly if you decide to communicate off the App or meet in person.
6. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact our Copyright Agent at: dorafeedback@storiesmymotion.com
7. Purchases and Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription within Dora:
- Payments will be charged to your App Store/Google Play account.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to your violation of these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. DORA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DORA, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OR EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE APP; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE APP; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT.
11. Dispute Resolution: Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
- Mandatory Arbitration: Any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court.
- Class Action Waiver: You and Dora agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
- Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without respect to its conflict of laws principles.
12. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means. Continued use of the App after such changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
