Add the ability to change / mute the sound the doorbell makes when the button is pushed. Not referring to the chime accessory. Should have the ability to make the doorbell not make a sound when someone pushes the doorbell button (or change it to a different sound). Being that the nightlight comes on when the button is pushed, that can alert the person pressing the button that the doorbell has acknowledged their button-press.

I think the doorbell sound (via the app) should be customized so that it is not the same notification sound all alerts generate in Wyze. I get so many false alerts from cameras (due to failings of the detection zone settings), that I start ignoring them. So, I now miss doorbell presses, because they use the same notification sound. Why not let the doorbell notification sound be, well, a doorbell?

Aside from disturbing the neighbors by being alerted every time the doorbell is rung, they also have to listen to the dogs barking as if an Intruder were attempting to break in. This nuisance also disturbs the neighbors sleeping baby.

Still, given what was written about the Samsung android issues I tried disabling the timeline view in my account settings on all four android devices tested thus far. This too did not help, if anything the sound quality was slightly worse.

I have attached a 90 second mp3 sound clip (zipped to allow posting here), recorded from a tablet sitting on a barstool 2 feet away from the ring pro outside the house. During the first half of the recording you can hear my voice talking in front of the ring pro, near the recording tablet. The rest of the recording is what the tablet hears (still 2 feet away from the ring pro) when the ring pro receives audio from a live session, wherein that audio is my voice followed by some audio from an audio book broadcast near my laptop microphone. Again, in all cases if I review/download the event from ring, all audio is crisp and clear.

NEW to RING and the community. I just installed the RING equipment this week. Have had the same problem with my PRO doorbell. That said, I also purchased an older model (2020 release), which is on battery, and the sound is PERFECT with the same network and cell phone. SOOOOoooo - appears to me that the PRO speaker has an audio issue. The sound coming into the RING doorbell is also so faint I can hardly hear it or make out what is being said. Playback video is clear on the audio. So there is something up with the AUDIO via the RING APP and the PRO.

Context: trying to work out whether I should remove my mechanical bell and rely just on Google Homes, have both, or try to build some automation where perhaps a Raspberry Pi is used to recognise the doorbell and then cast a custom doorbell-like sound to the various Google Home speakers.

If you wire a Google Nest doorbell to your existing doorbell wires (following the installation instructions) and your doorbell transformer meets Google Nest's transformer requirements ( =en), and you turn on the "Indoor chime" setting for your Google Nest doorbell, the Nest doorbell will ring your existing mechanical chime using your doorbell wires

If you ALSO turn on "Visitor announcements" in settings for your Google Nest doorbell, it will send a "visitor announcement" to any Google Nest speakers in the same Google Nest "home/structure" ( =en). This is accomplished via your home Wi-Fi network.

When you turn on a seasonal theme, a unique sound greets visitors when they ring the doorbell. If you use visitor announcements for your Google Nest or Home speaker or display, the sound plays on the doorbell and in your home.

I recently hooked up the G4 Doorbell with a digital chime that allows custom mp3s for the chime. I wanted it to play the same chime that the doorbell plays but I couldn't find the files anywhere. So I SSH'd into the doorbell device and downloaded all the wav files from the device. Figured they'd be useful to others so uploaded to GitHub.

The quickest I was able to get the C4 8 zone amps turned on and sound playing through was about 7 seconds. It sounds like you're dealer is relying on auto sense for the amps to turn on. They turn on much faster if you wire a relay from the controller to the trigger in. Or just put a jumper across the trigger and they'll stay on 24/7.

You don't get a "doorbell sound" with any Google Nest doorbells on an iPhone. You just get the standard IOS notification sound. That's all we get on our iPhones and there is no option for another sound. Per other posts in this forum, if you nave an Android phone, you can configure a doorbell sound.

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. We would recommend you to go to your phone's settings and look for the Nest app or Google Home app. Proceed to the settings of the app and look for sound notification then select your desired tone. Let us know how it goes.

I have a problem with my battery powered doorbell. A few days ago i noticed my phone isnt giving a sound notification when someone is pressing the doorbell. First I checked all my settings (samsung s20+) and found nothing. Then I replaced the doorbell with a new one I got from the seller. I installed the new doorbell and it worked again! The new doorbell was installed with firmware 2.0.0. The old doorbell was fitted with the newest firmware. The problem is the new doorbell got an automatic update so im back to square one.

One is in the Eufy app Notification menu under the doorbell. You should have Doorbell Ring On and Ring Alerts set to Default or whatever chime you prefer.

The other is under Audio settings. The Doorbell ringtone volume setting could be too low.

I installed the doorbell 2 pro. Same issue. All settings to ON. My wife receives visual and audio notifications when the doorbell is pressed. I only get the visual notification.

Any solution to this issue?

Have an Aeotec Doorbell (ZW056-A) and been using it to add voice notifications to my light notifications. Using Basic Rules to trigger a light to turn on and play an MP3 when a door opens/ sensor opens.... Today, it started playing the MP3 -s 7 times for each single event. Initially, I thought it is the rule but when I played the sound under the AEOTEC DOORBELL device, I noticed that pressing PLAY a single time causes the sound to be played 7 times.

Using C-7

I have not made changes to the hub or apps for a few months now.

Thanks for the pointer! Read the thread and it looks like he solved the issue by " repairing the doorbell device using S2 protocol" . While I am happy to hear I am not the only one with this issue, the solution presented is not clear. A google search pointed S2 to be a new security protocol for z-wave sevices & hubs.

I suspect my doorbel is too old to support S2.

Finally got to this and resolved it:

1- removed device (used REMOVE button in Habitat then 3x device button press). Note: the Blue light on doorbell plugged in the wall, will be blinking while waiting for pairing.

2- add device, select AEOTEC DOORBELL -->ZW056 --> Begin ZWAVE inclusion --> long press on device button

3-Edit rules and re-select the audio device ( minimal work, no need to re-create rules).

Also, it just found out the wired version doorbell cannot serve as a trigger in the automation setting, while the battery one can. Why have such different and It did not make it clear on the box. I felt that I got tricked to have purchased this version.

The Blink Video Doorbell is compatible with most home chimes. Once you wire the doorbell, pushing the button on the doorbell will make your chime ring. Use this article for further troubleshooting if your chime does not ring after installation.

Wiring for external doorbell buttons often has significant corrosion that can prevent enough current from being available. Be sure to connect only bare wires to the doorbell terminal posts, and remove corrosion if present.

There are two main types of chime systems. A mechanical chime uses a solenoid to move a striker that physically hits a piece of metal to make the "ding dong" sound. A digital chime plays a file when the circuit is closed.

In the Blink app you can change how the doorbell sends signal to the chime. In a mechanical chime, you control how much force the strikers use. In a digital chime, you control how long the signal is sent, giving the file enough time to play. Learn more about how to change your chime volume.

Once your Mini and Video Doorbell are on the same system, you can control the chime volume by selecting the More  button located at the bottom-right corner of the doorbell's thumbnail to access Device Settings. Then tap Audio Settings to adjust volume levels.

Each Mini camera used as a chime must be on the same system as the doorbell. If you open the Doorbell and Chime Settings and do not see a Mini camera that you have added, the Mini may be in a different system. If you have multiple systems, they will be separated by gray tabs at the top of the home screen. If your Mini camera displays on the Blink app home screen, the system name is located in gray tab above it.

If re-enabling doorbell press notifications does not resolve this issue, try removing and re-discovering your Blink devices from the Alexa app. Learn how to remove and re-discover your Blink devices from the Alexa app. e24fc04721
