Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 2025
Don’t Touch (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and what choices you have regarding your data.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or process any personal information directly on our servers.
However, because the App uses third-party services such as Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics, these providers may automatically collect certain types of data from your device.
1.1 Data Automatically Collected by AdMob and Firebase
These third-party services may collect:
◦ Advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID)
◦ Approximate location (derived from IP address)
◦ App usage statistics (screens viewed, interactions, session duration)
◦ Crash logs & diagnostics (Crashlytics)
◦ Device information (device model, OS version, language)
◦ Ad interaction data (e.g., ad views, clicks)
👉 This information is collected by Google/Firebase, not by us.
👉 We do not access, store, or sell this data.
For more information about how Google handles this data:

2. How the App Works
The App’s core functionality uses your device’s built-in motion sensors (such as the accelerometer and gyroscope) to detect movement.
◦ When motion is detected, the App triggers a loud alarm sound.
◦ All calculations and processing related to movement detection occur locally on your device.
◦ No sensor data is ever uploaded or transmitted to any server.
We do not monitor, record, or store any movement-related information.
3. Permissions We Request
To function correctly, the App requires certain device permissions.
3.1 Required Permissions
| Permission | Why It’s Needed |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Audio / Media | To play alarm sounds when movement is detected |
| Device Sensors (Motion/Accelerometer) | Detects phone movement or tilt |
| Foreground Service | Keeps the alarm active when the screen is off |
3.2 Permissions We Do NOT Use
The App does not request, use, or collect:
◦ Camera access
◦ Contacts
◦ Messages or SMS
◦ Photos or media files
◦ GPS (precise location)
◦ File storage access
◦ Microphone
◦ Bluetooth
◦ Calendar
◦ Social media account data
Only approximate location (via IP) may be inferred by AdMob for ad delivery.
4. Third-Party Services
4.1 Google AdMob (Advertising)
We use AdMob to show ads inside the App.
AdMob and its partners may:
◦ Use device identifiers
◦ Serve personalized or non-personalized ads
◦ Use cookies or similar tracking technologies
◦ Gather ad performance and interaction metrics
Users may disable personalized ads through their device:
Settings → Google → Ads → Reset Advertising ID
4.2 Firebase Analytics (Anonymous Usage Statistics)
Firebase collects anonymous, aggregated analytics data such as:
◦ App opens and closes
◦ Button clicks
◦ Time spent on features
◦ Device performance
👉 Firebase does not collect any personally identifiable information.

4.3 Crashlytics (Crash Reports)
Crashlytics automatically collects crash logs to help us identify and fix technical issues.
This includes device model, OS version, and technical crash details.
5. Data Security
◦ We do not store any personal data.
◦ All sensitive operations (movement detection, alarms) run entirely on your device.
◦ Any information collected by third-party partners is protected using industry-standard security measures.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
AdMob automatically shows non-personalized ads to users classified as children under applicable policies.
If you believe your child has interacted with the App in a way that might require privacy attention, please contact us.
7. International Data Transfers
Because third-party services like Google and Firebase operate globally, some information may be processed on servers located outside your country. These providers maintain strong compliance frameworks such as:
◦ Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
◦ EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF)
This ensures user data is protected even when processed internationally.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:
◦ Feature updates
◦ Technical improvements
◦ Legal and regulatory requirements
Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
