This Privacy Policy describes how DoNote ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience when using our mobile application.
Summary: DoNote is designed with privacy as a priority. We do not use servers to store your notes. Your data stays on your device or in the folders you choose.
1. Information Collection and Use
DoNote does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All notes created within the app are stored locally on your device's internal storage or exported to your "Downloads" folder at your explicit request.
Note Content: Your notes are private. We have no access to the text you write.
Files and Media: The App requires access to the system file picker to allow you to save and open ".txt" files. This access is user-initiated.
2. Permissions
DoNote uses the Storage Access Framework (SAF). This means:
We do not request broad access to your entire storage.
Access is only granted to specific files that you choose to open or save via the system dialog.
3. Third-Party Services
DoNote does not share information with third-party services. There are no analytics, advertisements, or tracking SDKs included in the App.
4. Data Retention
Since data is stored locally on your device, we do not retain any of your data on our end. If you delete the App, data stored in the App's private internal storage will be removed, while files saved to your "Downloads" folder will remain on your device until you manually delete them.
5. Security
We rely on the standard security features of the Android Operating System to protect the data stored on your device. We recommend using device-level security (PIN, password, or biometrics) to prevent unauthorized access to your notes.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
