The Country

The country was once a democracy, but fell at the hands of a man now known as Greatest I. In a time of economic and social turmoil in the country, Greatest I managed to appeal to enough of the population to win the presidency, and used lies and propaganda, and eventually a violent coup to win his way to dictatorship. At first, though, he’d only taken over about half of the country, while the other half, now known as the old country, maintained it's democratic status. This was over 100 years ago, and it wasn’t long after becoming dictator that Greatest I began to change the laws, and use forced labor and executions to maintain control, and persecute those who he deemed “unfit” in society.

After many years of turmoil, the president of the old country, the democratic side, launched an attack on the growing dictatorship to overthrow the man now known as The Greatest. This became the “War for Independence”. The war lasted for a full decade, until finally being dominated at a location now known as Fort Stanford by a general who went on to become Greatest II. The Old Country was forced to surrender, and the dictatorship side won, consuming the last of the old country, and standing for many years to come.

• Friendship is considered to be very culturally important in the country.

• The country has a population of approximately 72 million people, and is roughly the size of Germany in 2023.

• Saying "I'm the greatest", or any variation of the phrase there in is illegal, as it is considered disrespectful to The Greatest.
