Marguerite Donlevy was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and, after spending 12 years North of 60 working as a legal assistant and raising her family, returned to Calgary in 1987. She attended the University of Calgary, studying Canadian History achieving a B.A. with Distinction. She then earned her Bachelor of Laws Degree from U. of C. in 1993, winning the Vallance Prize in Family Law in her final year. Marguerite articled and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1994. Since that time Marguerite has practiced mainly in the family law area and in her early years was mentored by some of the most senior family lawyers in Calgary. Marguerite's empathetic approach to family law files has always been one of attempting to obtain a resolution through the best possible means for the client, whether by negotiation, mediation or, if necessary, the litigation process. Now practicing on a part-time basis three days per week, Marguerite looks forward to assisting people with all or part of their legal needs during what can be a challenging process.
