I serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Semiconductor Engineering at Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SEOULTECH), with a prior position as a Staff Researcher in the Machine Learning Technical Unit (MLTU) at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT). My academic journey led me to acquire a Ph.D. from the School of Electrical Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), mentored by Prof. Dong-Ho Cho.
My research endeavors aim to harness data-driven methodologies for the optimization of complex systems, tackling various challenges such as optimization in data-limited settings, leveraging digital twins, and implementing explainable AI. I have a particular interest in cross-level optimization for wireless communication systems and enhancing semiconductor manufacturing processes. Lately, my focus has shifted towards the automation of semiconductor design generation.
In the near future, I am eager to collaborate with dedicated graduate and undergraduate students. Those interested should keep an eye on this page and the 'AISDA Lab' section for updates on how to get involved!
