I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for Complex Geometry at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS). I received my PhD in 2023 from Seoul National University under the supervision of Prof. Young-Hoon Kiem.
I will be joining the June E Huh Center for Mathematical Challenges at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) as a CMC Fellow (Hyo Chul Myung Assistant Professor) starting in March 2026.
Research interests
Algebraic geometry, and related representation theory and combinatorics:
Birational geometry of moduli spaces and stacks, with a focus on their cohomology
Symmetric group actions on the cohomology; positivity and log-concavity phenomena
Hessenberg varieties, Lusztig varieties, Deligne-Lusztig varieties, and related aspects of geometric representation theory
Moduli of surfaces, via stack-theoretic methods
