My work points the way to a new aesthetic, a disruptive occurrence in which the spectator becomes the creator of the image. I intend to empower the viewer to create their own imaginary landscapes via disruptive sentences; phrases that are not restricted to reality, a superior surface on which to create a presence. I sometimes enlarge these pages of script to 1.5m x 1m to increase their visibility and power. They become the ripped pages from some unknown giant’s notebook. Other times they are fly-posted on walls. The colours are minimal, allowing the audience to concentrate on the words which are set against a black background.
