To download the Zoom application on your desktop and join a Zoom meeting, follow these steps:
Open a web browser on your desktop and go to the Zoom website: https://zoom.us
Click on the "Resources" or "Download" option in the top navigation menu.
On the Downloads page, you'll find different versions of Zoom for various platforms. Click on the "Download" button for the "Zoom Client for Meetings" option.
The Zoom application will start downloading. Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder) and double-click on it to begin the installation process.
Follow the on-screen prompts to install Zoom. You may need to agree to the terms and conditions and choose the installation options according to your preferences.
Once the installation is complete, launch the Zoom application. You will see options to sign in or join a meeting.
To join a meeting, click on the "Join a Meeting" button. Enter the Meeting ID provided by the meeting host or click on a meeting link if you received one.
If prompted, enter your name and choose your audio and video settings. You can choose to enable or disable your microphone and camera before joining the meeting.
Click on the "Join" button to enter the meeting. You should now be connected to the Zoom meeting with audio and video capabilities.
Note: If you don't have a Zoom account, you can create one for free on the Zoom website. Having an account will provide you with additional features and settings for managing your meetings.
