Our app uses the camera and microphone to power on‑device features:
- Camera: Analyzes live video frames to detect whether a dog is present and to interpret visible body language cues. No
facial recognition or biometric identification of people is performed.
- Microphone: Listens for dog barks and, when available on device, may transcribe short snippets of recent nearby speech
to add context. Transcription and bark detection run on the device.
- On‑device models: The app uses on‑device vision and language models to generate short, spoken “thoughts” for fun and
insight. Model files may be downloaded to the device, but no user content is uploaded for processing.
All camera frames, audio, and any intermediate results are processed in real time on the user’s device and are not
stored persistently or transmitted to external servers. The only data that can persist is content the user explicitly
saves or imports (see Data Retention & Deletion).

No external sharing occurs. The app does not share, sell, or transmit camera content, audio content, transcriptions, or
any other personal data to third parties. All processing happens locally on the user’s device; no cloud‑based services
are used to process user content.

Data Retention & Deletion
- Real‑time data (camera frames, audio, intermediate analyses) is not stored and is discarded after use.
- User‑saved media: Photos or videos you capture or import are stored locally on your device (in your photo library or
app documents, depending on your action). You can delete these at any time using the Photos app or by removing files
from the app’s storage.
- App settings: Limited non‑personal preferences (e.g., chosen voice, creativity level, bark sensitivity, debug toggle)
are stored locally on the device. Deleting the app removes these settings.
4. User Rights
- Control and deletion: You can delete any saved photos/videos at any time. Because the app does not retain camera/audio
content beyond the live session, there is no stored personal content.
- Permissions: You can revoke Camera, Microphone, and Photo Library permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Security
The app does not upload or store personal data on external servers. Processing occurs locally, within iOS’s app sandbox.
