(ICB) Mark 1:10-11
10. When Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven open. The Holy Spirit came down on him like a dove. 11. A voice came from heaven and said: "You are my Son and I love you. I am very pleased with you.
God the Father loves you so much that he know, that you needed help down here on earth. So God the Father has sent God the Holy Spirit to come and help you everyday of your life. God the Father wants to surround you with his love, protect you and guide you through your life.
God the Father loves you so much that he sent his Son Jesus down here to earth, to pay the price on the cross for you.
God the Father does love you and he is watching over you. He wants to protect you and guide you throw this world and help you discover his love for you. That's why you need the beautiful precious Holy Spirit in the your life.
- Jesus called the Holy Spirit, 'the Spirit of truth'. He also made a promise that he would send us the Holy Spirit.
John 14 (NKJV)
15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
- Jesus also declared that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things. The Holy Spirit is all-knowing, he has all wisdom and all knowledge there is nothing that he does not know.
John 14:26 (NKJV)
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
- After Jesus went back up to heaven. The Holy Spirit was sent down to earth and he is still here ready to help anyone who asks him. Another name for the Holy Spirit is the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2 (KJV)
2 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
- The Holy Spirit is kind and patient. He can help you overcome all the troubles that this life can throw at you. He can also make you laugh and teach you how to be the best person that God created you to be. That's why Jesus called him the comforter and a teacher. He will be closer then your best friend, if you will let him be apart of your life?
