Document Generation & Clause Library
Document Generation & Clause Library
DocuSign CLM Document Generation allows you to efficiently create and add control to your documents, serving as the primary tool for generating new documents or contracts to launch workflows. Our solution is designed with both the DocuSign CLM administrator and end-user in mind, providing flexibility to best match your organization’s specific needs including the ability to upload third-party documents.
When a user initiates the contract generation process, they will be guided through the steps using a wizard in the UI as a guided form. Here, the user will answer questions relating to the contract, for example, What is the document type, what terms and provisions should be included, and should we use standard approved terms from the clause library? Using this guide ensures that the information included within the contract adheres to the business rules surrounding this process.
Working from pre-approved templates saves you significant time in the review process. With Document Generation, [Client Name] can configure custom templates for your most common types of documents. This template configuration gives your users ultimate control over document generation activity.
Configuration of clauses via the DocuSign CLM Document Generation tool provides users self-service capabilities to fill in form fields, select from pre-approved clauses, and pull data from external sources like Salesforce or SAP to generate merged Microsoft Word documents based on templates. The clause library can also be accessed directly within Microsoft Word for easy access to pre-approved language during review or negotiation. These clauses support the ability to configure standard language and fallback/alternative options. For each of the configured options, Aruba can add guidelines that determine when the language can/should be used. The selected options can also adjust downstream workflows.
