Our fundamental principle is that your data belongs to you. Document Scanner is designed to run locally on your device.
Camera Access: The app requires camera access to scan documents. All image processing happens locally on your device. We do not transmit your camera feed or images to our servers.
Local Storage: Scanned documents, IDs, and generated PDFs are saved directly to your device's local storage.
No Telemetry: We do not track your usage habits, and we do not use analytics to track individual user behavior.
The application offers an optional feature to back up your documents to Google Drive.
If you choose to enable this feature, the app will request permission to access your Google Drive.
The app will only read and write files within its dedicated backup folder on your Google Drive.
We do not have access to your Google account credentials. The authentication is handled entirely and securely by Google via OAuth.
Your documents are uploaded directly from your device to your Google Drive. They are never routed through or stored on our servers.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information or your documents to outside parties.
