The primary functionality of Document Reader involves handling digital files, such as viewing, organizing, and converting documents. Crucially, all processing of your personal document content (the text, images, and data within your files) occurs entirely on your device. We do not transmit or store your documents on our cloud servers or any external system.
For the purpose of ensuring App compatibility, performance, and stability across various mobile devices, we collect certain technical information. This data is general and cannot be used to identify you personally:
Device Specifications (e.g., model, brand, screen size).
Operating System Details (e.g., Android/iOS version).
Network Status (e.g., connection type).
A unique, non-identifying technical ID for your device.
This information is used exclusively for app maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting.
As a document utility, the App requires access to the files stored on your mobile device to perform its intended functions (e.g., opening a file for viewing, saving a modified document, or importing a file). This access is strictly conditional:
User-Initiated: We only access a file when you, the user, actively tap or select that file within the App's interface to perform an action.
Confined to Device: All operations involving your documents are executed locally on your device and are not shared or uploaded by the App.
We monitor how the App performs and how features are utilized to identify potential issues and improve the user experience. This includes anonymized statistical data on feature interaction and automated crash reports. This data is aggregated and does not contain personal identifying information.
The App is offered free of charge and relies on advertising for support. Our third-party advertising partners may collect and process specific data points to deliver relevant advertisements:
The device's Advertising ID (e.g., IDFA or Google Advertising ID).
General location derived from the IP address.
Data regarding your interaction (clicks, views) with ads served within the App.
These partners operate under their own privacy policies and data collection practices. Our current advertising providers may include (but are not limited to): AppLovin, Admob (Google), Facebook (Meta), Pangle, Vungle, and MTG. To enable comprehensive file management and organization features within the App—such as consolidating multiple documents or moving files between folders—Document Reader may request the "All Files Access" (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) permission on certain operating systems. This elevated permission is used solely and exclusively to facilitate the file operations you explicitly command within the App, ensuring seamless functionality across your entire device storage.
We implement industry-standard security measures to safeguard the limited non-personal information we collect against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no electronic communication or storage method is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
