Information Stored on Your Device

Scanned documents, extracted text, and application settings are stored locally on your device.

The application does not upload or synchronize your documents to any server operated by the developer.

Camera and Photo Library Access

DocScanner requires access to the device camera and photo library in order to:

• Scan documents using the camera

• Import existing images from the gallery

These permissions are used only for the functionality requested by the user.

OCR Processing

The application uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to extract text from document images.

OCR processing is performed locally on the device.

Document images are not uploaded to the developer's servers for OCR processing.

AI Chat Feature

DocScanner includes an AI chat feature that allows users to ask questions about document content.

When this feature is used:

• The text extracted from the selected document may be sent to the AI service selected by the user.

• The user's chat messages may also be transmitted to the AI service.

• The developer does not receive, store, or process this information on personal servers.

Users must provide their own API key for supported AI providers, such as OpenAI or Groq.

Use of AI services is subject to the privacy policies and terms of the selected provider.

Document Sharing

DocScanner allows users to share scanned documents using applications installed on their devices.

Document sharing is initiated only by the user.

When a document is shared, the selected content may be transferred to the destination application chosen by the user. The developer does not receive or store shared documents.

SIM Country Information

The application may read the device SIM country code in order to determine the user's region and apply region-specific functionality when necessary.

Only the country code is accessed.

The application does not access phone numbers, contacts, call history, or other telephony information.

Data Sharing

The developer does not sell user data.

Data may be transmitted only to third-party AI providers when the user explicitly uses AI chat features.

Data Security

Documents and application data are stored locally on the user's device.

Users are responsible for protecting their devices and any information stored on them.

Children's Privacy

DocScanner is not directed toward children under the age of 13.
