Privacy Policy
DocMint Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DocMint – PDF & Office Reader ("DocMint," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the app.
1. Information the app accesses
DocMint may access files and folders on your device when you grant storage access or choose a file. This can include document contents, file names, file paths, file sizes, file types, and modification dates. The app also stores limited preferences locally, such as your selected language, theme preference, recent files, and Favorites.
2. How information is used
We use this information only to provide the app's features, including opening, reading, organizing, searching, and managing documents. Document files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to DocMint servers by the app. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Sharing
DocMint shares a document only when you explicitly choose a sharing action. Android's system share functionality may then send the selected file to the app or person you choose. You are responsible for reviewing the recipient and destination before sharing.
4. Third-party services
The app may use Google Play services and Firebase services for app operation, stability, diagnostics, or analytics, depending on the active build configuration. These services may process limited technical information such as app version, device model, operating system version, crash information, and performance or usage data. They do not receive the contents of your documents from DocMint.
The current release does not offer in-app purchases and advertising is disabled.
5. Data retention and deletion
Preferences and locally stored app data are removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall DocMint. Documents remain on your device until you delete or move them yourself. If you contact us, we retain your message only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and resolve the request.
6. Children's privacy
DocMint is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and users should keep their device protected and up to date.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or applicable requirements change. The updated version will include a new effective date and will be made available with the app or on its Google Play listing.
