우리 연구실에서는 분산 네트워크 및 분산 컴퓨팅 시스템, 또는 무선 통신 시스템에 대한 전반적인 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 사물 인터넷 (IoT) 환경의 방대한 데이터 처리 수요에 발맞춰 분산형 데이터 네트워크에서의 데이터 통신, 저장, 계산을 위한 새로운 분산형 네트워크 및 시스템 설계에 관한 원천 기술을 연구하고 있습니다.

• 분산 컴퓨팅 시스템의 성능 향상을 위한 데이터 인코딩 기법 및 업무 할당 알고리즘

• 수많은 센서, 노드로 이루어진 IoT 네트워크에서의 무선 통신을 위한 간섭 처리, 다중 접속 기술

• 데이터 분산 저장 시스템에서의 데이터 보안, 사용자 프라이버시를 보장하는 데이터 인코딩 기법

We are conducting an overall study of distributed networks, distributed computing systems, and wireless communication systems. In particular, in response to the vast demands of data processing in the Internet of Things (IoT) environment, we are researching fundamental technologies for designing wireless networks and systems for data communication, storage, and computation in distributed networks.

Main research field

• Data encoding techniques and task allocation algorithms to improve the performance of distributed computing systems

• Interference management and multiple access technologies for wireless communication in IoT networks consisting of numerous sensors and nodes

• Data encoding techniques to ensure data security and user privacy in distributed data storage

• The paper entitled "Group-wise Verifiable Coded Computing under Byzantine Attacks and Stragglers," has been accepted to IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security in Mar. 2024.

• The paper entitled "HeteroSplitFed: Distributed Learning Techniques for Heterogeneous Client Settings on Computational Capability and Communication Bandwidth," has been awarded KICS Winter Conference Undergraduate Student Paper Awards (한국통신학회 동계종합학술발표회 학부우수논문상) in Feb. 2024.

• The paper entitled "ConvLSTM-based Particulate Matter Concentration Prediction Model with Location of Weather Station by Meteorological Data Imagification," has been awarded Korea Software Congress (KSC) Undergraduate Student Paper Awards (한국정보과학회 한국소프트웨어종합학술대회 학부우수논문상) in Dec. 2023.

• The paper entitled "Win Prediction in MOBA Games Using Time-Series Location Data: Case Study in League of Legends (LoL)," has been awarded KICS Winter Conference Undergraduate Student Paper Awards (한국통신학회 동계종합학술발표회 학부우수논문상) in Feb. 2023.

• The paper entitled "Fully Private and Secure Coded Matrix Multiplication with Colluding Workers," has been accepted to ICT Express in Feb. 2023.

• The paper entitled "Towards 6G Hyper-Connectivity: Vision, Challenges, and Key Enabling Technologies," has been accepted to Journal of Communications and Networks in Jan. 2023.

• The paper entitled "Straggler-Exploiting Fully Private Distributed Matrix Multiplication with Chebyshev Polynomials," has been accepted to IEEE Transactions on Communications in Jan. 2023.

• The paper entitled "Byzantine Attack Identification in Coded Computing via Group Testing Approach," has been awarded KICS Winter Conference Best Paper Awards (한국통신학회 동계종합학술발표회 우수논문상) in Feb. 2022.

• The paper entitled "Repair Rates for Multiple Descriptions on Distributed Storage," has been accepted to Entropy in Apr. 2022.

• The paper entitled "Private and Secure Coded Computation in Straggler-Exploiting Distributed Matrix Multiplication," has been accepted to International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT) in Jul. 2021.

• Heecheol Yang gave an invited talk on "Distributed computing over 6G" at 6G Forum Research Initiative Open Workshop, Apr. 2021.

• Our group moved to the Division of Computer Convergence at Chungnam National University (CNU).
