This Privacy Policy describes how DM Technolab ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information in the WiFi HTTP & FTP Server mobile application (the "App").
We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed as a local utility tool. Please read this policy to understand our data practices.
1. Summary of Data Collection
* Local Operation: The App hosts a local HTTP/FTP server on your device. All file transfers occur directly between your device and other clients on your local Wi-Fi network. No files or personal data are ever uploaded to our servers or any third-party cloud services.
* No Ad ID Collection: We explicitly disable Advertising ID collection and tracking within the App.
* No Account Creation: You do not need to create an account or provide any personal information (such as name, email, or phone number) to use the App.
2. Permissions Required & How They Are Used
To provide its core functionality, the App requires the following system permissions on your mobile device:
* Storage Access (Read & Write): Required to allow the App to read the files you choose to share via the HTTP/FTP server, and to write files that you upload from your computer back to your device.
* Wi-Fi & Network State Access: Required to establish the local server connection, determine your local IP address, and verify Wi-Fi network status.
* Foreground Service Permission: Required on newer Android versions to keep the HTTP/FTP servers running in the background when you lock your screen or switch apps.
3. Third-Party Services & Analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to monitor App stability, track app performance, and analyze usage trends to improve the user experience.
* Type of Data Collected: Firebase Analytics collects non-personally identifiable information, such as device model, OS version, app crashes, and aggregate feature usage statistics (e.g., when a server is started or stopped).
* Privacy-Safe Implementation: In compliance with Google Play Console policies, we have disabled the collection of the Advertising ID. No device identifiers are mapped to personal information.
* Data Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or share any analytics or usage data with outside parties.
4. Security of Your Data
Since the HTTP and FTP servers operate strictly within your local network (LAN), the security of your files depends on your local network configuration.
* To protect your files, the App offers a Secure Host Mode where you can set a custom username and password that clients must enter before accessing your shared directory. We highly recommend enabling this feature when using the App on public or shared Wi-Fi networks.
5. Children's Privacy
Our App does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is safe for all age groups and is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families Policy.
