Deep Learning and Its Usability Through Hardware Interactions
(24th June - 28th June, 2019)
Department of Computer Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur
Objectives of Workshop:
The journey of computational Intelligence starting from AI to machine learning and deep learning has progressed rapidly and the technology is evolving around with a lot of excitement. AI encompasses machine learning, where machines can learn by experience and acquire skills without human involvement. Deep learning is a subset of machine learning where artificial neural networks, algorithms inspired by the human brain, learn from large amount of unstructured, incomplete and heterogeneous dataset.
In the current scenario, there’s a huge requirement for implementing deep learning models on newer hardware platforms and has gained tremendous interest in the field of Image processing, IoT and other community of researchers. Hence, our department decides to offer a short term course (five day) on the above mention subjects for helping the researchers and faculty members who are interested to do their work using deep learning.
Topics to be covered:
- Introduction to Machine Learning
- Basic Neural Networks
- Convolution Neural Networks
- Hands on Face Detection using Raspberrey Pi
- Recurrent Neural Networks
- State of the art applications with CNN
- Application of RNN in the field of speech recognition and, NLP
- GAN logic, applicatipons and, intuitions
- Eminent Professors from IIEST, Shibpur,
- ISI, Kolkata and
- Speakers from Industry
This workshop is primarily designed mainly for Post Graduates, Research scholars and, Faculty Members of Science and Engineering.
