Universal Remote End User License Agreement

Effective Date: September 15, 2026

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement” or “EULA”) is a legal agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and [Developer / Company Name] (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Developer”) governing your use of the Universal Remote mobile application (“App”).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Universal Remote, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not download, install, access, or use the App.

1. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to download, install, and use Universal Remote on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Usage Rules.

The App is licensed, not sold, to you. We retain all rights in and to the App that are not expressly granted under this Agreement.

Where permitted by Apple’s applicable Usage Rules, the App may also be accessed and used through Family Sharing or other Apple-supported sharing features.

2. App Features

Universal Remote may provide features that allow you to:

• Discover and connect to compatible televisions and streaming devices;

• Control compatible televisions and devices using your mobile device;

• Adjust volume, playback, navigation, power, and other supported controls;

• Cast photos and videos from your mobile device to a compatible television or device;

• Access or play online video content;

• Access IPTV streams or playlists provided or entered by you;

• Enter text using your mobile device and send that text to a compatible television or device;

• Save compatible devices, connection preferences, playlists, links, or other settings.

Features may vary depending on your television, device manufacturer, network environment, operating system, geographic region, or third-party service.

We do not guarantee that every feature will work with every television, streaming device, website, IPTV service, or online video provider.

3. Compatible Devices

Universal Remote relies on technologies and protocols made available by television manufacturers, streaming devices, operating systems, local networks, and other third parties.

Compatibility may change without notice as a result of firmware updates, operating system updates, manufacturer changes, network configurations, or changes made by third-party services.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Universal Remote is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially associated with any television manufacturer, streaming platform, IPTV provider, website, or other third-party service.

All third-party trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners.

4. Local Network and Device Access

Certain Universal Remote features require your mobile device and television or streaming device to be connected to the same local network.

You authorize the App to communicate with compatible devices on your local network when you use features such as device discovery, remote control, casting, or text input.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to connect to and control any television, streaming device, or network used with the App.

You must not use Universal Remote to access, control, interfere with, or disrupt a device or network without authorization.

5. Remote Control Features

Commands sent through Universal Remote may cause actions to occur on a connected television or other device, including changing volume, switching content, launching applications, controlling playback, entering text, or powering supported devices on or off.

You are responsible for commands you initiate through the App.

We are not responsible for unintended actions caused by incorrect device selection, network conditions, device incompatibility, third-party software, or your use of the remote-control features.

6. Keyboard and Text Input

Universal Remote may allow you to enter text on your mobile device and transmit that text to a connected television or compatible device.

You are responsible for any text, information, usernames, searches, messages, or other content entered through this feature.

You should exercise caution when entering passwords, payment information, financial information, personal information, or other sensitive information into third-party applications, websites, televisions, or services.

We are not responsible for how a television manufacturer, website, streaming service, application, or other third party processes information that you submit to it.

7. Casting Photos and Videos

Universal Remote may allow you to cast photos, videos, or other media from your mobile device to compatible devices.

You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise have all necessary rights and permissions to access, display, stream, cast, or transmit any media you use with the App.

You may not use the App to transmit or distribute content in violation of copyright, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, applicable law, or contractual obligations.

Universal Remote does not obtain ownership of your photos, videos, or other personal media solely because you use the App to cast them.

8. Online Videos

Universal Remote may allow you to enter, access, open, play, or cast video content made available through third-party websites, URLs, or services.

We do not own, operate, host, control, or endorse third-party websites or content merely because they can be accessed using the App.

Availability of third-party content may change at any time.

You are responsible for complying with the terms, copyright requirements, geographic restrictions, subscription requirements, and other rules applicable to any third-party content you access.

You must not use Universal Remote to circumvent digital rights management technologies, access controls, paywalls, geographic restrictions, or other technological protection measures.

9. IPTV Content

Universal Remote may provide functionality that allows users to enter, import, organize, access, or play IPTV playlists, stream URLs, or similar resources.

Universal Remote does not provide, sell, host, distribute, or supply television channels, IPTV subscriptions, copyrighted broadcasts, or third-party streaming content unless expressly identified otherwise.

You are solely responsible for the IPTV playlists, URLs, channels, streams, credentials, and content that you add to or access through the App.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, or lawful authorization to access and use any IPTV content that you provide to the App.

You must not use Universal Remote to access, reproduce, stream, distribute, or facilitate access to unauthorized, pirated, infringing, or otherwise unlawful content.

We reserve the right to restrict or discontinue functionality where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal requests, intellectual property obligations, or App Store requirements.

10. Third-Party Services and Content

Universal Remote may interact with or provide access to third-party televisions, devices, websites, IPTV providers, streaming platforms, content providers, networks, or other services.

Your use of such services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies provided by those third parties.

You agree to comply with all applicable third-party terms when using Universal Remote.

We are not responsible for the availability, reliability, legality, accuracy, security, functionality, or content of third-party services.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Universal Remote for unlawful or unauthorized purposes;

• Control televisions, devices, or networks that you are not authorized to access;

• Access or distribute pirated or unauthorized IPTV, video, or other copyrighted content;

• Infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or other rights of any person or entity;

• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent digital rights management, access controls, security measures, geographic restrictions, or technical protection systems;

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App except as expressly permitted by law;

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;

• Introduce malware, malicious code, automated attacks, or other harmful technology through the App;

• Interfere with the operation, security, servers, networks, or services associated with Universal Remote;

• Use the App in a way that could damage, disable, overload, or impair a television, device, network, or third-party service;

• Misrepresent your affiliation with us or any third party.

12. Intellectual Property

Universal Remote, including its software, interface, visual design, graphics, icons, logos, text, functionality, and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to the Developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

This Agreement does not transfer ownership of Universal Remote or any associated intellectual property to you.

Third-party trademarks, television manufacturer names, streaming service names, logos, and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

13. Updates and Changes

We may provide updates, upgrades, patches, modifications, improvements, or new versions of Universal Remote.

Certain updates may be necessary for continued use of the App.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary due to technical requirements, security considerations, legal requirements, third-party changes, compatibility issues, or business reasons.

We do not guarantee that all features available in a previous version will remain available indefinitely.

14. Purchases and Subscriptions

If Universal Remote offers paid features, in-app purchases, or subscriptions, purchases made through the App Store are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's applicable payment terms.

If an auto-renewable subscription is offered, the price, subscription period, renewal terms, free-trial terms, and other material conditions will be presented before purchase.

Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled in accordance with Apple's applicable subscription rules.

You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through your Apple Account subscription settings.

Except where required by applicable law or Apple's policies, billing, cancellation, and refund requests relating to App Store purchases are handled according to Apple's applicable terms and procedures.

15. Privacy

Your use of Universal Remote is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy describes how information may be accessed, processed, stored, or otherwise handled when you use features such as local network device discovery, casting, IPTV, online video, and keyboard input.

Please review the Universal Remote Privacy Policy before using the App.

16. Maintenance and Support

The Developer, and not Apple, is responsible for providing maintenance and support for Universal Remote to the extent required under applicable law or expressly provided by us.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for Universal Remote.

For support, please contact us using the contact information provided at the end of this Agreement.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, UNIVERSAL REMOTE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• THE APP WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ERROR-FREE;

• THE APP WILL WORK WITH EVERY TELEVISION, DEVICE, WEBSITE, IPTV PROVIDER, OR STREAMING SERVICE;

• THIRD-PARTY CONTENT OR SERVICES WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE;

• CONNECTIONS BETWEEN YOUR MOBILE DEVICE AND TELEVISION WILL ALWAYS BE SUCCESSFUL;

• ALL FEATURES WILL CONTINUE TO FUNCTION FOLLOWING THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE, FIRMWARE, NETWORK, OR SERVICE CHANGES.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and where applicable Apple may refund the purchase price paid for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Universal Remote.

Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to failure to conform to an applicable warranty are the responsibility of the Developer to the extent required by applicable law.

18. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE UNIVERSAL REMOTE.

This includes, without limitation, losses arising from:

• Device incompatibility;

• Local network failures;

• Third-party service interruptions;

• IPTV or online content becoming unavailable;

• Unauthorized or unlawful content supplied by users or third parties;

• Actions performed on connected televisions or devices;

• Loss of settings, playlists, links, or other locally stored information.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

19. User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device and network;

• Ensuring that you are authorized to access connected televisions and devices;

• Ensuring that IPTV and online content you access is lawful;

• Complying with third-party service agreements;

• Maintaining backups of important playlists, URLs, or other information where appropriate;

• Using the App in compliance with applicable laws.

20. Product Claims

You and the Developer acknowledge that the Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to Universal Remote or your possession and use of the App.

Such claims may include, but are not limited to:

• Product liability claims;

• Claims that Universal Remote fails to comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements;

• Claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar laws.

Nothing in this Agreement limits your statutory rights where such rights cannot legally be limited.

21. Intellectual Property Claims

If a third party claims that Universal Remote or your possession and use of Universal Remote infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, the Developer, and not Apple, will be responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim to the extent required under applicable law.

This provision does not apply to infringement caused by unauthorized content, IPTV sources, URLs, media, or other materials supplied by you.

22. Termination

This Agreement remains effective until terminated.

Your rights under this Agreement will terminate if you materially violate its terms.

Upon termination, you must stop using Universal Remote and, where applicable, delete the App from your devices.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, third-party rights, and dispute-related provisions, will continue to apply.

23. Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that:

1. You are not located in a country or region subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country or region; and

2. You are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

You agree to use Universal Remote in compliance with applicable export control, sanctions, copyright, telecommunications, and other applicable laws.

24. Apple-Specific Terms

You acknowledge and agree that this Agreement is concluded between you and the Developer, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”).

The Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for Universal Remote and its content.

Your license to Universal Remote is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Usage Rules.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for Universal Remote.

Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to Universal Remote or your possession or use of the App, except as otherwise required under applicable law or Apple's applicable terms.

You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Universal Remote.

You and the Developer acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement. Upon your acceptance of this Agreement, Apple will have the right to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.

25. Governing Law

This Agreement will be governed by the laws applicable in [State / Country of Developer], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country or state of residence provide otherwise.

Nothing in this Agreement deprives you of protections that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.

26. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time to reflect changes to Universal Remote, applicable law, App Store requirements, third-party services, or our business practices.

If material changes are made, we may provide notice within the App or by other reasonable means.

The effective date at the top of this Agreement will indicate when the latest version became effective.

27. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

28. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with the Universal Remote Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented to you in connection with specific features or purchases, constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Developer concerning your use of Universal Remote.
