I am a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, working in the Sensing and Robotics for Infrastructures Lab (SRILab).
My current research interests are broadly - "Structural and Infrastructural Resilience Improvement for Natural Hazards."
Specifically, my research includes-
Risk and Hazard Assessment for earthquake, wildfire, and landslide hazards.
Pre-disaster risk reduction by optimal capital investment.
Post-disaster resource allocation.
Solution for local and regional level (city level road network).
I develop optimization and graph machine learning algorithms to address this.
I work with heterogeneous data sources, such as Camera, LiDAR, Satellite, and Network level data.
My Ph.D. from Rice University is on developing intelligent and autonomous sensing frameworks for infrastructure condition assessment.
Three of my important contributions to my Ph.D. are -
Full-field sensing from limited sensors.
Deep learning-based sensor fault detection, localization, and reconstruction.
A Camera motion cancellation algorithm for vibration measurement from a moving camera.
I developed computer vision, machine/deep learning, signal/image processing, and formation control algorithms to address these.
