Dj Cayolla is a project dedicated to music and dance.

André Cayolla, born in 1991 in the city of Porto, northern Portugal. A surfer at heart, with a desire to experience new areas and curiosity for the African world, he started in October 2017 in Kizomba and Semba classes at ALC Dance Studios, falling in love with African rhythms and music.

Passionate about history, African music is the richest of stories about its influences and cultures.

Predilection for the musical styles P.A.L.O.P Afrozouk, Semba, Coladeira, Morna, Cabozouk, Kizomba, GuettoZouk, Tarraxinha, and its origins as the African Caribbean styles Guibine, Cadance Lypso, Kompa and Antillean Zouk

An experience of emotions, and a journey to African Palop rhythms and their origins.

He started his career moments before the beginning of the covid 19, which slowed down his direct contact with the public. So he had time to dedicate 100% himself.

Studying the varied musical styles that belong to Palop music and its origins.

Self-taught, he began to explore Deejay's art in October 2019.

With dedication and effort, always trying to overcome his personal goals, he started playing with vinyl, and took a DJ course in Dance Planet Porto, to rectify if he was really a good self-taught.

The First Flyer

After the outbreak of the covid 19 pandemic, he began Europe tour with his best friend Mauricio, playing in countries such as Spain, Germany and Poland.

As the dance started, and then the music came, there is a sensitivity and musicality that define him, as his friends say, "he is a white man, with an African soul"
