AI Analysis: The text and images you provide are transmitted securely to our third-party AI provider, OpenAI, solely for the purpose of analyzing the project and generating instructions, materials, and tool lists.
Local Storage: Your project history (including generated plans and images) is stored locally on your device using Apple’s native storage systems. We (the developers of DIY Project Pal) do not have access to this data. You can delete this history at any time within the app.
4. Third-Party Data Sharing We do not sell, trade, or rent your data. However, data is shared with the following service providers to function:
OpenAI: Input data is sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. OpenAI does not use data submitted via their API to train their models by default, in accordance with their Enterprise privacy policies.
Retailer Links: When you click on a link to a retailer (Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware), you are directed to their website. These third-party sites may place cookies on your device to track the referral. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.
