Introduction

DIY Bike Fit ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application ("App") handles your information.

Information Collection and Use

Our App requires access to your device's camera and photo gallery to:
• Take photos of your cycling position
• Select existing photos from your gallery for analysis

All image processing is performed locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your photos on any external servers. We do not collect personal information.

Data Storage

• Local Storage Only: All photos and analysis results remain on your device
• No Cloud Storage: We do not store any of your data in the cloud
• No Account Required: The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information

Data Sharing

Google ML Kit: Our app utilizes Google ML Kit (Pose Detection API) to provide bike fitting analysis. This processing is performed entirely on-device; the photos used for pose estimation are not sent to Google's servers. However, the ML Kit SDK may collect diagnostic information (such as performance metrics and error logs) and device identifiers for the purposes of service maintenance and analytics. The App does display advertisements through Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. To serve ads, AdMob (Google) may collect and process certain information from your device — such as your advertising identifier (Advertising ID), IP address, and general app-usage/diagnostic data — which Google handles under its own policies and may use to deliver personalized or non-personalized ads.

You can limit ad personalization or reset your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings (e.g. Settings → Google → Ads). For how Google uses data from apps that use its services, see How Google uses information from apps that use our services and Google's Privacy Policy.

Platform Differences

The Android version of DIY Bike Fit displays advertisements through Google AdMob, as described above. The iOS version does not display advertisements and does not use AdMob, so no advertising identifier is collected on iOS. All other sections of this policy apply to both versions.

Children's Privacy

Our App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The App is safe for use by people of all ages.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your Rights

What we hold. We operate no servers, accounts, or analytics of our own. Your photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us, and we have no means of identifying you. There is therefore no personal data held by us to access, correct, export, or delete.

What Google receives. As described under Data Sharing, Google receives certain data through the SDKs this App uses: device identifiers and diagnostic information via ML Kit on both platforms, and — on Android only — your Advertising ID and IP address via AdMob. Google processes that data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, so requests concerning it should be directed to Google.

Controls available to you now:

Reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalised advertising, in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
Use Reset app state in the App's Settings to clear the preferences stored on your device.
Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.

Statutory rights. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
