This map includes all pharmacies in the state of Kansas with a staff pharmacist who has signed the statewide EOA protocol. If you believe your pharmacy should be listed on the map, submit your pharmacist's signed protocol to be included.

The EOA protocol does not expire. If the Board of Pharmacy modifies it, all pharmacists will be notified. If a pharmacist wants to discontinue dispensing EOAs without a prescription, the pharmacist should notify the Board of Pharmacy.

Summary: This amendment clarified that an electronic controlled substance prescription for new or initial dispensing, schedules II-V, could be transferred pursuant to state law when the DEA published their final rule in 21 CFR 1306.08 that references application of the new rule only if state law authorizes such. The DEA now authorizes the transfer of an electronic controlled substance prescription for new or initial dispensing, schedule II-V, if 21 CFR 1306.08 is followed.

Persons enrolled in a pharmacy technician training program must obtain a pharmacy technician trainee registration if they will be performing the duties of a pharmacy technician. Do NOT apply for a pharmacy technician trainee registration if you already hold a current active Virginia pharmacy technician registration. If you previously held a Virginia pharmacy technician registration that lapsed, it may be necessary to apply for a pharmacy technician trainee registration in order to gain practical experience to reinstate your registration. Please reach out to Board staff prior to applying for reinstatement and pharmacy technician trainee registration.

The remote dispensing site (RDS) operates as an extension of a traditional pharmacy. The primary difference is that a pharmacist checks the orders and talks with patients via a two-way video connection instead of being live at the site.

Pharmacy technician(s) that work at RDS are legally required to have more experience than technicians in a regular pharmacy setting. The technicians are trained and fully capable of coordinating all of your medicine needs. The pharmacist is supervising from a Marshfield Clinic Pharmacy near the RDS location.

The following locations have met the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services quality standards for durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMPEOS) pharmacy through the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).
