Let's Curate!
Students will begin class by creating a 3D name plate to serve as part of the students marketing displays and as an introduction to the art making process. Students will then transition into groups to work in collaboration to establish the duties of a curator and the necessary skills to work as a team to determine what artwork should be displayed based on the students' individual artistic interpretations and opinions.

Gallery Architecture and Construction
Students will learn and analyze the different architectural choices within Gallery spaces to help determine a look for their individual Gallery constructions. Students will work to create a 3D miniature Gallery space that will later showcase mini works created by the students.
Week 3 (10/25/2024)
Honey, I Shrunk the Art

Week 4 (11/15/2024)
Marketing 101
Students will learn the importance of marketing oneself in the art world and community! Making connections is key. Students will create a unique artist logo that will be turned into a sticker that they will later be able to replicate to have multiples. Students will also take a focus on creating an engaging and eye-catching poster that would serve as advertising for their Gallery show.
Week 5 (12/13/2024)
Artist Statement and Trading Cards
Students will reflect on their time in class to produce and write their very own artist statement. This will be a reflection of the new things learned and where they hope to go in the future! In the arts community, artists support artists. Students will close out the class by partaking in an artist trade that consists of students trading mini-works with the other students in the class to leave with a collection of their own work as well as their peers.
