Activate Discovery Go on Roku, Fire Stick, DirecTV Now, Apple TV

Discovery GO is a channel that offers lots of entertainment for free. You can watch most of its programmes on different devices and even stream them online. Although the app is free, you need a TV subscription through a satellite or cable provider to watch most of the episodes.

The channel adds more episodes and shows to their app from time to time. It then keeps a small portion of them unlocked for users who do not sign in with a TV provider. But even before you can watch episodes without signing in, you first need to activate Discovery GO.

If you want to activate Discovery.com/activate Go on Roku, Fire Stick, DirecTV Now, or Apple TV, the first step is to download the app on your device.

The app is compatible with most devices, including mobile phones manufactured in the last five years. All Smart TV nowadays come with a selection of pre-loaded apps and allow you to add more.

Go to their specific channel or app stores, search for Discovery GO, and add the channel. Adding will install the channel on your TV.

Next, you need to activate Discovery GO to start watching unlimited episodes. This guide will use DirecTV as an example of activating Discovery GO.

Activate Discovery GO on Roku or paid IPTV Services

1. Go to Roku home screen

2. Search DirecTV from the search option

3. Select Add Channel

4. Wait for Roku to add the channel

5. Go back to the home screen

6. Select DirecTV

The channel will start to auto-configure depending on your device. After auto-configuration:

1. Log in to your DirecTV account

2. Scroll to find Discovery GO

3. Launch the channel

4. An activation code will appear on Roku

5. Go to Discovery.com/activate

6. Enter the activation code

7. On the next page, choose your provider (DirecTV)

8. The process will authenticate the Discovery GO code and allow you to watch videos.

Instead of installing DirecTV app on your Roku, you can add the channel instead. In this case:

1. Go to Roku channel store

2. Search to find the Roku Discovery Channel app

3. Select Add Channel

4. Launch the channel

5. Follow the instructions on to get an activation code

6. Go to go.discovery.com/activate

7. Enter the Discovery channel Roku access code

8. Choose your TV provider

9. The process will link your Roku to Discovery GO and start watching shows.

Activate Discovery GO on Fire Stick

To activate the channel, you first need to download, add, or install it to your Fire Stick. You should then follow the steps below:

• Launch Discovery on Fire Stick

• A code will appear on your screen

• Go to discovery.com/activate

• Enter the activation code

• Choose your TV provider

• You will not link the channel to your device. Follow the same process for other devices such as Apple TV.

If you want to activate Discovery GO, you need a TV subscription plan through a satellite or TV provider. That will allow you to watch an unlimited number of shows on the channel. Although the app is free, not having a subscription plan will limit the number of videos you can watch on Discovery GO.
