My two cents on this. It is waste of your time to get disc version ever if you want to back up. By the time you get that disc version, you will need to update over again and again. So, it is a moot point to get disc version in my humble opinion, but that is your decision.

I just got the ps5 digital edition, which has no disc drive. I have the disc version of NMS for PS4. How would I go about getting the next gen update on my ps5? I saw from Hello Games that it would be free for all current players, however I cant put the ps4 disc in my discless ps5 (obviously) and the digital version of NMS is full price on the ps store. @DumplingDrawer Your disc copy should have a product code printed on the back of the insert inside the case. Register this in Origin and download Sims 3 from your game library. This should work in both Windows and macOS, although on a Mac, you'll need to make sure you're downloading the version that says 64-bit on the game tile. The older 32-bit version doesn't run and won't even install in macOS Catalina or newer. The Windows version is 32-bit only.

Does one of the 7 discs have to always be inserted to play GTA V, or can you install it and play without disc. I would hope its the latter as Rockstar should be able to verify it as a legitimate copy when you play.

I recommend the steam version which you can just tell to download and forget it until it's done. Even if it takes a while to download, at least you won't be sitting there for 200 hours switching 7 discs and then STILL need a 5gb patch AND more patches before you can even play.

You can also redownload the game from Social Club if you want, even verify it and everything. Basicaly the discs are just a backup made for you, as those who own the digital version have to create one themselves.
