This Privacy Policy explains how Direct Chat ("we", "us", or "our") handles user information when you use our mobile application (Direct Chat, package ID: com.nikhil.directchat.app).
1. Information Collection and Use
- No Personal Data Collection: We do NOT collect, transmit, harvest, or sell any personal data, mobile phone numbers, contact lists, or private messages.
- Local Data Storage: All recent chat history logs created within the app are stored exclusively on your local device. History records automatically expire and purge after 24 hours.
2. Permissions Required
- Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used strictly to scan QR codes locally on your device in real-time. Camera frames are processed locally and are never stored or transmitted.
- Storage & Media Access: Used solely when you tap Download QR Code to save the generated QR image to your device's photo gallery under the "DirectChat" album.
3. Third-Party Advertising Services
Direct Chat uses Google AdMob to display advertisements within the application. AdMob may collect and use pseudonymous device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) for ad serving and analytics purposes in accordance with Google's policies.

Direct Chat does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13.
