I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alabama in Huntsville, USA. I am currently working on quantum computing, quantum machine learning, and security. My research is supported by National Science Foundation (NSF), Alabama EPSCoR program, and UAH.

Previously, I worked as a postdoctoral associate at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Purdue University, USA from January 2022 to April 2023. I received the Ph.D. degree (shortlisted for the best thesis award) in computer science at Deakin University, Australia in January 2022. I was also a recipient of the prestigious Data61 PhD scholarship, CSIRO, Australia in 2018. I am a IEEE member.

Oct. 01-24, 2026: I co-organize the NSF-funded interstate quantum hackathon among 9 universities and lead the UAH team. Registration open here
Sept. 2026: I deliver the invited talk on secure quantum machine learning at the Robustness and Privacy Quantum AI workshop , organized in the IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering (QCE), Toronto.
Sept. 2026: Our 2 papers on quantum sensing got accepted to IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering,Toronto.
[Jul. 2026: Grant] Our group got funded by Alabama EPSCoR program on the quantum computing project.
[May 2026: Grant] Our group got funded by NSF CISE supplement program on the quantum machine learning project.
Feb. 2026: 2 papers from my PhD students Shaba and Ratun on quantum federated learning got accepted at IEEE Transactions on Networking and IEEE Transactions on Computers.
Jan. 2026: Invited to serve as a panelist for the NSF.

Nov. 2023: Our workshop proposal got accepted to IEEE WCNC 2024 - 2nd Workshop on Integrated, Intelligent and Ubiquitous Connectivity for 6G Networks where I will work as a technical chair. Welcome to your submissions!
Oct. 2023: 4 journal papers on federated learning, 6G, and wireless got accepted at IEEE JSAC, IoT, Sensor, and TITS. Also, 3 conference papers on federated learning and wireless got accepted at IEEE VCC, Big data.
