I am an Associate Professor at the University of Leicester - School of Economics.
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Piraeus (Greece), from which I graduated in 2000. Subsequently, I pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Manchester, graduating with a PhD in Economics in 2005. Following a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Manchester, I moved to a lecturer post at Loughborough University in 2006. I joined the University of Leicester in January 2008.
I am an applied economic theorist. My current interests and activities involve research on economic growth and development; cultural transmission; income inequality; corruption and tax evasion; and demographic change. Previous research activities included work on growth and volatility and on the interrelation between economic activity and environmental quality.
