If you want long battery life, dual-device connectivity for work, and a secure in-ear seal for Xbox gaming sessions, choose Dilwe SX?991; if you need an open-ear design that keeps your ears dry while swimming or running, plus massive onboard storage to ditch your phone entirely, choose HAKII Sole Bone Conduction.
• Dilwe SX?991: Its biggest strength is the 18-hour talk time and ability to pair with two devices simultaneously, but it relies on traditional in-ear buds that can cause fatigue during marathon sessions. It is best for office workers, commuters, and gamers who prioritize battery endurance and call clarity.
• HAKII Sole: Its biggest strength is the IP68 waterproof rating and bone conduction technology that leaves your ears open to the world, but it offers a shorter 10-hour playtime and lacks active noise cancellation features found in other styles. It is best for serious athletes, swimmers, and runners who need situational awareness and sweat resistance.
The Dilwe SX?991 is engineered for the person who needs their audio gear to last as long as their day does without constant interruptions. With a claimed music listening time of over 16 hours and talk time reaching up to 18 hours, this neckband headset removes the anxiety of a dying battery mid-shift or mid-match. The inclusion of a 300-hour standby mode means you can toss it in your bag, forget about it for days, and still have power ready when you need it. This makes it an exceptional candidate for anyone looking for the best rechargeable neckband headphones for xbox, especially for those long weekend gaming marathons where charging isn't always an option.
What sets this model apart is its versatility in connectivity. It supports seamless dual-device pairing, allowing you to stay connected to your smartphone for incoming calls while simultaneously linked to a tablet or laptop for media consumption. You won't have to disconnect one device to answer a call from another. This feature is invaluable for home office setups or for the gamer who wants to listen to game audio on one screen while chatting on Discord via a second device. The Bluetooth 5.0 solution ensures a stable connection up to 10 meters, providing enough range to move around your living room or workspace without dropouts.

However, the form factor dictates who should skip this product. Because it utilizes retractable earbuds that sit inside the ear canal, it uses sound isolation rather than active noise cancellation. If you are in a very loud environment and need to block out the world completely, the physical seal might not be enough. Furthermore, while the ergonomic design includes four different sizes of soft ear caps to ensure a custom fit, some users may find the in-ear sensation uncomfortable after several hours of continuous wear. If you prefer the feeling of having nothing in your ears, this design will feel intrusive compared to open-ear alternatives. It is a robust, all-in-one package for utility, but it demands a bit more adjustment regarding comfort for extended use.
The HAKII Sole Bone Conduction headphones cater specifically to the athlete who refuses to compromise safety or hydration for music. The defining feature here is the open-ear design paired with an IP68 professional waterproof rating. This isn't just splash-proof; it is certified to withstand submersion, making these the go-to choice for swimming headphones or intense workouts where sweat is guaranteed. Unlike standard earbuds that trap moisture and bacteria, the open-ear architecture allows airflow, keeping your ears dry and clean even after a grueling run or a lap swim.
Another major draw is the massive internal storage capacity. With 16GB (often marketed as 32GB in promotional contexts, but the sheet confirms significant built-in storage) of onboard memory, you can store thousands of songs directly on the device. This allows for true wireless freedom, meaning you can leave your phone at home entirely. Whether you are running on a trail, cycling through traffic, or hitting the gym, you don't need a tether to your phone to enjoy your playlist. The device also supports Bluetooth 6.0, offering a wider transmission range of 15 meters compared to the competition, ensuring a rock-solid link between your head and your source.
The trade-off lies in the physics of bone conduction itself. While the ultra-lightweight build of just 27 grams makes them virtually unnoticeable on your head, they do not provide the same level of bass response or deep immersion as in-ear drivers. They rely on vibrating the cheekbones to transmit sound, which creates a unique audio profile that some audiophiles find thin. Additionally, because there is no noise control or active noise cancellation, you will hear everything around you—traffic, wind, gym chatter. This is a feature, not a bug, for outdoor safety, but it means these are not the best noise canceling earphones for xbox if you are trying to get lost in a quiet narrative or a high-fidelity competitive match where external distractions matter. They are built for movement, not for sitting still in a quiet room.
• Best for Battery Life → Dilwe SX?991: With over 16 hours of music playback and 18 hours of talk time, it significantly outlasts the HAKII's 10-hour limit.
• Best for Swimming & Water Sports → HAKII Sole: The IP68 certification allows for full submersion, whereas the Dilwe is only splash-resistant and not designed for underwater use.
• Best for Dual-Tasking → Dilwe SX?991: Simultaneous pairing with two devices makes it superior for multitasking between work and personal calls.
• Best for Onboard Storage → HAKII Sole: Built-in MP3 storage lets you leave your phone behind, a feature the Dilwe lacks entirely.
• Best for Situational Awareness → HAKII Sole: The open-ear design keeps you aware of your surroundings, essential for running or cycling near traffic.
• Best for In-Ear Seal → Dilwe SX?991: The retractable earbuds provide passive sound isolation, blocking out more ambient noise than the open-ear HAKII.
• Best for Lightweight Comfort → HAKII Sole: At 27g, it is featherlight compared to the 188g Dilwe, reducing neck strain during long activities.
• Best for Gaming Immersion → Dilwe SX?991: The dynamic drivers and in-ear placement offer a more immersive experience for console gaming like Xbox.
If I were buying a single unit for my own daily rotation, I would choose the Dilwe SX?991. While the HAKII Sole is an incredible piece of engineering for swimmers and runners, the Dilwe offers a much more versatile experience for general use. The sheer longevity of the battery life means I never have to hunt for a charger during a long day, and the ability to switch between my laptop and phone seamlessly is something I rely on constantly. Most importantly, for my specific request of finding the best true wireless earbuds for xbox or similar console gaming, the in-ear design of the Dilwe provides the necessary audio separation and immersion that bone conduction simply cannot replicate. I recommend the HAKII Sole only if your primary activity involves water or high-speed outdoor movement where safety is the absolute priority.
The Dilwe SX?991 is better suited for gaming due to its in-ear design and longer battery life, which helps maintain immersion during long sessions. The HAKII Sole's open-ear design lets in too much background noise for focused gameplay.
Yes, the HAKII Sole is IP68 certified, meaning it is fully waterproof and can be submerged for swimming, unlike the Dilwe SX?991 which is not rated for underwater use.
With the HAKII Sole, you do not need your phone connected thanks to the built-in 16GB storage for offline music. The Dilwe SX?991 requires a Bluetooth connection to a source device to play audio.
The Dilwe SX?991 wins with over 16 hours of music playback and 18 hours of talk time, compared to the HAKII Sole's 10-hour playtime, making it more reliable for all-day use.
