TABUN
TABUN
Barangay Tabun in Angeles City was once a rural farming area whose name likely came from the Kapampangan/Tagalog word “tabun” (mound of earth or the tabon bird that buries its eggs). Originally part of the city’s agricultural lands, it gradually developed into a residential community as Angeles expanded. From only about 1,500 residents in 1990, Tabun has grown rapidly to over 13,000 by 2020, reflecting its shift from a quiet rural settlement into a thriving urban barangay.
